I'm interested in exit signs, fire alarms, electronics, etc. Some people like cars, I like electronics .

Does anyone else get that feeling in your stomach like when you go on Tower of Terror right when the lift to go down to the first floor begins? The feeling's only for a second and my dad says he didn't fell anything. Maybe it's because I know the RV is on a lift .

Transformers: The Ride 3D will do exactly what it was intended to do for UOR. And it will do it well.

I did think it was weird when I went during softs last week on a Tuesday, the wait time the whole time I was there for Transformers was 10 minutes, while DM was up to 90 minutes! Of course, TF wasn't officially open, but still.

1. Not enough of a Transformers fan-base. Transformers merchandise sales have been very disappointing, especially compared to say, Despicable Me. Furthermore, European and South American audiences just don't have the same appreciation for the property.

Your idea that Transformers isn't big in Europe is way off.

In fact, I've no idea where you get such an idea from but you keep raising it as if it's some kind of fact.

Looks good, quite well themed for a last-minute update IMO

I like it looks good, kind of reminds me of an airport or something to that effect . Hopefully wont have to ever stand under it though lol I dont think I can handle that long of a wait for anything

You just figured out for me exactly what I felt was off. It does sort of remind me of an airport in a way, and I hope some covering for the lights comes with time. Still, it's nice enough for a last minute addition I guess.

Transformers will be a smash hit.... It will bring people to the park especially Europeans and it will sell an s load of merchandise!

Even if it falls on its ass and flops (which it won't) it technically cost universal nothing and didn't use up any new space or replace an existing attraction so it's a win win!

I was talking to my mother in law who is down from the Philly area and she says schools just got out up there. Most families don't plan trips the first week or two out of school, so maybe the slower than normal summer weekend was due to that. It makes sense. We will have to see as the summer goes on how the parks do, but I can't imagine a drop in attendance. The economy is not getting worse and in some areas getting better (housing market in Orlando is much better than before) and that is normally what drives a wide spread drop in attendance. NFL was opened in December, so this is the first summer for that, so that has to draw some people in and Phase 2 was announced late enough that most people would have already made arrangements that can't be changed. If you have kids and tell them you are going to Orlando in July, there is no way you are going to convince those kids that they now have to wait a year. So most families are not going to cancelled planned trips and most families plan in advance so that they can get time off work, plane tickets, etc.

Not enough of a fan base? obviously someone has never been to Botcon. :pound: those conventions pull in more people than the Star Wars celebrations do. While the merch wasn't selling wrol enough in some peoples eyes before the grand opening it's selling well now according to the merchandise managers I've spoken with. If this is anything like Hollywood they won't have the hulk of the LE merch until first quarter of next year.

Yes, it wasn't in use opening day. Following opening day they took off the magnet.

Not to worry at all. That is the only way to get someone to clear their inbox on here! Very appropriate.

Saying Transformers doesn't have a large fan base and won't sell merchandise well makes me laugh. Transformers is not Harry Potter of course, Transformers is not the Simpson's where in both of those situations an entire land can be built around it and be so immersed into the surrounding area. TF is and will be a hit among Universal and will continue to draw attention so long as they market it well (which they have). This ride is more of a filler ride than a stand alone, though IMO it could do both. TF was never about bringing crowds like they did with Potter...but rather about offering a ride that did well in Hollywood, to bring in a little added money, and to offer a balance of rides between the front and Harry Potter.

Opinions are what drive the site but dont claim that we should take you on your complete word when you have absolutely nothing to prove it. My statement above could be agreed with or not that is your decision but a fact is a fact...And unless fact has proof it is nothing more than an opinion.

The express line for this ride is crazy fast. Waited 10 minutes during a 90 minute standby. The line was in overflow too.

That's fine, but nobody else has anything saying that the merchandise has sold well either  However, we do have proof that lines aren't getting over three digits, which is unusual for a new ride. Of course it'll bring in money, but everyone has way overhyped the crowds.

As to the fan base--yes it's there. And TF is popular in Europe, but not to the degree it is in the States, or in Asia. It would be hard for a European who wasn't a hardcore theme park fan to justify a trip to the States just for Transformers.

We will see as time goes on, but as of right now, the extended queue has yet to be filled besides opening day. So looks like, yes, the predicitions for crowds have indeed been overhyped.
