I know it's rotating but I've always thought about what four houses from their history they would hypothetically choose as permanents.
I haven't seen Alicia's video, but one would assume they'd splurge on a permanent, highly themed Classic Monsters house, not only because its a staple of HHN, but also because the permanent nature of the venue could give them the opportunity to create more elaborate sets and effects.

I have a feeling that the Universal Monsters will always be represented, even if they do rotate out which characters are spotlighted… much like the recent years of HHN.

Yeah, my hunch is the breakdown will be something like:

-Universal Monsters
-Blumhouse
-Other IP
-Original creation

That allows them to use 2.5 in-house properties and branch out to work with big name, non Universal talent (or someone in house like Jordan Peele).

That’s about what I expect but it think it will be Monsters, Blumhouse, an HHN Icons house, and then probably Chucky.

I'd have to assume the first original created will tie to a story based on Vegas?

Also interested in seeing how the logic/infrastructure of a house is built. This is a year-round thing, so they can't just rely on short-term materials/walls that HHN is used to utilizing. Would be interested in seeing if the "walls" of the house are designed to stay, while the theming is removed and replaced?

Wonder if Universal will then discount tickets when they replace houses?

I'm thinking it will be original stories/ideas/characters we've already seen in past HHNs.

I expect Universal will have ip houses that will coincide with movies or tv shows and will be (partially) sponsored by (for instance) a Netflix.
Of course they will use assets (clothes, sets, prosthetics) from houses in Hollywood and/or Orlando to be re-used or re-configured. And the same will be for the event store.
The cost to run this could be really low and that is a good thing.

The original they’re bringing back as a permanent fixture is Penn and Teller New’k Las Vegas, obviously.

Ties into the city, encourages cross promotion, and provides something tonally different from what the other houses will be.

EDIT - Really, though. If they’re SMART (instead of lazy), they’ll use Luck as the permanent icon for Vegas and give her the evil Casino we should have got a decade ago.

It would make sense, but sadly she's just not as marketable as Jack. I guess the commercial for HHN25 did involve spinning a wheel, sort of.

I wonder if (like just about everything in Vegas) there will be slot machines in the "common area" with the shop, bars, and restaurants?

Bars yes but no slot machines. Its veryyyyyy much themed attractions mainly and pretty fun hang out spot with a good amount to do now and with HHN, it will basically be a full day thing if you have the money to keep yourself entertained all day

I wouldn't be surprised if they did a "celeb" house like the Weeknd. Vegas revolves around such draws heavily.

It's been a minute since I've been down to the site, especially as I was avoiding the F1 craziness. May see how progress is going this weekend.
