Transformers: The Ride - Summer 2013

I got in rides number 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 today. Besides chatting with a friend in the park for a few brief minutes I HAD to do something else fun today on my birthday :happy: I'm so buying a pair of TF headphones if UNI ever gets them in.

Anyone now how long the wait got up to in terms of minutes, or hours actually. For those who don't know the line filled up the entire queue and overflow queue within 20 mins and then the extended overflow queue went numerous switchbacks throughout NY then along the front of the Mummy (more switchbacks), towards Twister, and finally a another roundhouse of switchbacks around and behind HRRR's treble cleff maneuver.

I know I'm several pages late on this one, but here goes.

During the opening and until they cleared the area there was a lockdown of the road around Transformers (and in turn Monster's Cafe). They couldn't get people into the queue obviously. So they built and loaded queue that went down the street between the park and the facades and it went around the corner in the street into the bus stop area. A second queue was set up between Mummy and Twister back by the fast and the furious cars. Once they filled the close one they then filled the second, but had no one in the actual queue. Once the show was over and they cleared most of the people out they pulsed the line across the closed street into the exerior queue, and then eventually into the building. Once the large screen was gone they then started building the queue in the street (did it quite fast) and loaded that. Once all of the ride's queue was built the extra queue was emptied and not used for the rest of the day.

From what I have found, Cars 3 has not been officially announced, however, there is one project for upcoming years which they've yet to announce and they have said it will be a sequel. Many are speculating it will be Cars 3, although Owen Wilson has said he will not be back to voice Lightning McQueen if indeed there is one.

I just want to say that it was amazing watching this ride get built this quickly. Amazing work from everybody involved in construction, design, and operations. A big thanks also goes out to those who gave us updates and those who gave us riddles.

At this point they are having enough issues getting people to do the current 3.

Why is that? You mean by now they havent had enough training/practice time? Not to mention the new building designed just to make it even easier to get in those costumes. Well Im certainly gratefull for the ones we do have already, plus the awesome new meet & greet facilty!

The costumes (especially Megatron) require very specific body types that do not mesh well with the requirement to be able to carry the very heavy costume. They just don't have a lot of people who can fit into the costume and can support the weight.
