I took a photo over the wall yesterday, I guess it has reopened today.  Check out June 7 Photo Update on the main site.

Current progress: https://twitter.com/ryanooo/status/343460050934833152/photo/1

Looks like they haven't finished, yet the show is still open to guests. By all indicators, the show hasn't changed.

That's embarrassing! To have a half finished look is not professional.

They need to close it up again. Now. It looks horrendous.

Looking at the most recent photos, I wonder what theme they're trying to get at.

Studio/backlot? Or something else? Whatever it is, I can't believe they haven't finished.

So all of that weird jungle theme is taken out now?

Why would they do this? The "stage" painting feels a little out of place, at least SES is right there, along with HoH.

That's a really disorganized approach. As much as AA needs the refurb, I wouldn't have minded it happening after the "Summer of Survival".

The set looked quite barren today and they were using very ugly bland curtains to cover the right side of the stage.

Got any photos? I'm curious as to what progress they've made (if any).

They've done a little work after my trip to USH last weekend.

I'll be visiting the park (finally!) on Sunday, so I'll try to take pictures. I'm gonna be going with a friend of mine who's never been to Universal Studios, so I hope she isn't too disappointed with this show..

The show staff still manage a decent show regardless of their surroundings, but it's just painful for regulars like us to watch. I was shocked to see how well Florida had their version of the show running in comparison to ours.

It's like we're operating with a shell.

Ugh, I can't explain how jealous I am of Florida's AA stage. A waterfall? A slide? Rock work? A larger setup? Not fair.

It's starting to look like the main elements will continue to remain. Shame. I was hoping they'd do a major overhaul.

Animal Actors isn't on the expansion plan for replacement, is it? Only Special Effects Stage...

That makes this "refurb" change even more odd considering how half assed and temporary/sloppy it looks so far. I'm with you Jon, it deserves a major overhaul if it's indeed sticking around.
