I agree, but to be fair, Avatar made billions of dollars at the box office with its movies... its the reason why Disney wanted it at their parks, and still want to build more lands (cough Paris)
Wicked preformed great, Wicked for Good however won't even make what the first movie grossed, it's a couple hundred million behind the first movie... and that one didn't even reach a billion.

I've been told Pandora- The World of Avatar moves such little merch, its one of the worst preforming areas in any WDW park

Box office figures need to be taken with some nuance:
1) WFG faced a lot better competition than the original - Zootopia 2, Avatar, and FNAF versus Moana 2, Sonic, and Mufasa.
2) Wicked does basically nothing in China where Avatar and Zootopia crush it.
3) This is probably lost on FL people, but the weather has been awful in the Northeast so far this winter. The two snowstorms where I live were on a Friday and Saturday evening… I struggle to drag myself to the grocery store, let alone the movie theater that’s only one metro stop away.

I see Wicked as sort of Universal's Avatar Land.

Whether or not the IP continues to be popular (or people remember), the land will become a major draw from a visual perspective.

It's been on Broadway and touring for 20 years, what are you talking about "will continue to be"?

My dad put on the movie so we were discussing things and I realized I should probably share the Broadway World financials page for the Broadway show. Wicked is a popculture staple that's just been recently validated in the form of a movie. Successful movie musicals are VERY hard to do and have laregly been a bust since the 1960s.
