As well, the scene was dead silent with Kong just roaring and growling...It was rather calm after the huge scene you just experiencedHow's it different?

Apologies if this has already been covered, but are they still doing the outside part of the ride? On all 3 of my rides in the past two days the ride vehicle has never gone outside, and I really want to experience it at least once going outside...
Didn't someone mention on here that they always run inside only when only two trucks are in use?I think that when they have trouble running more than 2 RVs they always bypass the outside portion.
Yep. That's what I was told by the ride operators. Two vehicles is always inside only. That way they get the max capacity, even though there may be a operating issue with the vehicles. Three & four is always outside, as long as the weather is OK. They can't run five at a time.Didn't someone mention on here that they always run inside only when only two trucks are in use?
Yeah, I agree, as I said in my review on the Kong review page, the outside portion sets the mood & ambiance for the entire ride, especially the grand entrance through the gates. It's definitely a lesser ride when it's indoors only.I definitely find it a pity when they bypass the outside part, as personally I find it impressive, especially that turn. I also find it adds a degree of realism and a nice dose of anticipation.
It's finally up on their website. Behind the scenes pics on the making of the AAs. This also reveals that not only did they make Kong, but they also made the worm in the queue. Makes sense as it does seem way more fluid than the bats.
SKULL ISLAND: REIGN OF KONG - Creature Technology Company
In their behind the scenes segment, they have this photo:
Is there a spare Kong lying about as a backup or is this spares (4 eyes) for moving parts that could get worn out?
There are 6 eyes in that picture and a few more iris on the desk behind the artist

That happened to me one of the days I was there. It was either two or three with no outside. The ride is definitely not as good without the outside portion.I rode three times today and never got to experience the outside part.
I guess I'm just lucky that all my rides have gone outside so farThat happened to me one of the days I was there. It was either two or three with no outside. The ride is definitely not as good without the outside portion.
Yes the actors are still there.Ugh with all this talk about not experiencing the outside portions I need to temper my expectations. Finally going to experience this ride for the first time this month!
Are there still scareactors in the queue? Are they at set locations?
In a way, I was glad I had a number of rides inside only. It gave me a good understanding of why some reviews, where the reviewer only got to ride the inside version, were less positive than the reviews that included the outside portion. There's a significant difference that lowers my rating of the ride itself (not counting the queue, preshows, or facade) from a 9 (with outdoor section) to a 7 when it's indoors only.I guess I'm just lucky that all my rides have gone outside so far

I also think it adds a "show" element for people walking buy and observing.I definitely find it a pity when they bypass the outside part, as personally I find it impressive, especially that turn. I also find it adds a degree of realism and a nice dose of anticipation.
