I mean yeah, this would make so much sense for USH....it would split guests up more then they are now....while I would love Pokemon next to SNW this would just be a huge help with crowds but I hope at least at USH they somehow widen the pathways around these areas because as of now they can barley handle the crowds....can't imagine with Pokemon there you even being able to walk, lol

I really don’t see USH getting Pokémon and I really don’t see this replacing the Simpsons. For one thing, it sounds like Orlando’s rumored concept is not gonna be just a simple reskin of Springfield. It’s likely going to be a full demo project. You also have to consider that there isn’t quite as much space to do that here even if they wanted to. Plus the kitchens to Three Broomsticks, Krusty Burger and (I’m pretty sure) Kleetus’ are all connected.

At least with Orlando’s Springfield, you can tell that the way it was designed it was not for the long term. They just build a bunch of facades to an old food court that’s been there since USF opened in 1990. Simple retrofit. Here at USH they built new structures that connects to another land that was built only 8 years ago. Also over in Florida…it’s a big park. They can probably get away with shrinking the path down a lot and having a bypass. But here? That’s not gonna work. You see how bad it gets during the holidays and HHN. Not to mention that they’re building that new Fast and Furious coaster like right there.

So all of that to say….they're not tearing down Springfield for Pokémon. Not for anything. Not happening. It’s just not practical. The most this land will get is a quick reskin. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I think the route I expect them to go is a generic LA street with Fast and Furious right there. Come to think of it, I wonder if that was their long-term plan knowing F&F wouldn’t quite mesh well with Springfield? I don’t see them going out of their way to find an IP to reskin all of the eateries. I could see them themed to different foods from Universal movies or something.

I get the impression that Universal isn’t interested in renegotiating for the Simpsons rights. I could be totally wrong, but I don’t see them fighting hard to renegotiate for just USH when you know Disney is either going to flat-out reject them or ask for WAY too much money. It sounds like USH is done with Simpsons.

As for ideas replacing the Simpsons Ride? I think it’s going to be a “standalone” ride. I’m thinking either Bourne or some other dark ride.

I hadn't heard anything in so long, the last rumor was for Simpsons to get a modified Fallon Race Through NY standalone ride retrofit, and that was awhile ago.

I mean USH seem to have zero rumors right now....after the 60th/F&F. At least no one I see are reporting anything for the park after the coaster

I’d be shocked if they did that. Not only does that sound like an extremely underwhelming replacement, but that building is old, especially that ride system. I don’t see them giving it a simple retro fit.

If they want to have something to have before the Olympics, if they insist on going this route….maybe just bring back BTTF as a temporary quick fix? I guarantee that would be received better than Fallon!

Ew, hard pass.

I think there's room at USH for two action stunt shows. Transform that section of the upper lot into kind of a throwback "movies" themed area with the Fast and Furious coaster, Bourne, and the Studio Tour. The restaurants can be turned into original concepts -- no need to do Jason Bourne-themed fried chicken or anything, just places with punny names that allude to cinema or production or something, similar to the approach they're taking with the original dining at Epic Universe.

The pathways are gonna suck no matter what they replace it with. That's just USH
They can at least try. They just need to let the opening of the Simpsons be more wide and not have things on the right and left unless it's needed and not just things like the Springfield sigh, its cute but also takes up area that could be used as a walkway

With permits for the removal of the spring tent area at USF it sounds like this Pokemon ride will extend a bit beyond the current foot print and to port that over to USH you would have to expand into the tram stop which isn't going to happen for the time being.

That early concept art for F&F shows the FFB looking like a generic LA street. Foreshadowing, I think so.

I think a dark ride would be the ideal replacement for USH's Simpsons, though I am really curious what IP they would go for. Maybe something Illumination or DreamWorks?

People need to stop reading into that art, it's just made to be generic to avoid having to pay any sort of licensing fees or run into any legal issues.

As long as the interactivity is unique, I'll be fine as long as we get nice scenic design. People go to theme parks to escape to different worlds/films/games/etc.

I mean....Universal can prove me wrong but....if F&F coaster theme isn't a warehouse or car garage then...great but they choose an IP with a reallllllly boring universe to add to a theme park.

I'm sure the ride will be loved by coaster fans but the Q and things around it....generic as heck and so far they have done nothing with the IP in the park that is interesting

As for what's around it, I do agree I doubt it's more then just generic art.

Also for People fighting for Simpsons so hard why? I'm a huge simpsons fan but....if Disney wants it to have attractions then build them yourself they have the tech land and parks for it. Along with the simpsons ride tech wise just is so old and not fun to ride, the script and pre show is well done I won't argue that but do people really enjoy the ride part of the Simpsons ride?
