Cool.I'm guessing they're really pushing this as their headlining ride, especially awesome as it seems like people of all ages can enjoy. Once you ride the water coaster, can you add it again along with other rides or is it once per day?

Let's put it this way, it will be the main draw and you can reapply after you have used yours....that's IF it's still availabile for the day. If so when you go to tap a place in line it will say no more spots or if it's down due to weather etc... also there is something we call a buffer queue and that's just fancy talk for the small line to get in your actual tube, raft, canoe what have you lol which will be express memebers or other guest who's turn it is. That's all I can say for right now.

It seems to me that it's unlikely second rides will be available, or if they are it will be at the expense of other guests who won't get a first ride. The proslide website lists a capacity of approx 720 per hour for a hydromagnetic rocket. It may be different at VB, but if we assume that and a 12 hour day that gives 8640 rides per day. Then you have weather, downtime, and slow loadings which will all likely bring that number down some.
That puts it into the range of what I would guess daily attendance will be. For comparison, Typhoon Lagoon averages 8,000 per day when it's open, and averaging 6,500 for year round operations would make VB the most attended water park in the world.

:agree:Well yeah like I said "IF" but on a slow traffic day (which ha might not be for a whiiiiiiiile let's be real) if the availability is there, that will be become an option that they'll open up but yeah agreed it's a headline attraction and capacity plus other variables will come in to play true. I usually never get on here and speculate or give guesses much that's why I don't post much unless it's something I've been briefed on and know as concrete. However ha as we all know, things change, policies change, and even tho we can prepare for a lot of things as a company and a park based of trials, history and previous technologies, history in theme park openings show that a lot is learned by doing, messing up and approving upon for best guest experience. Have you ever been on a hydromagnetic water attraction before? Or anyone? I'm personally stoked to experience it

Any idea of how the steel supports for the stairs will be covered..?

Most likely they'll add a wood texture to the supports, but the actual steps will be exposed steel.

The early stat for the Hydro was 756 AHC but that was for a round 6 person. Are these toboggan style rafts 6 as well? If it is 8 then there has been a switcheroo with the forecasted expansion. The total AHC for EVERYTHING was originally set at 15K. I am assuming that AHC stands for Average Hourly Capacity. Sound good?

The toboggan tubes are four person. If they built it big enough they could do well over 756. The Wildebeest at Splashin' Safari (also a 4 person toboggan) does over 800 in peak season...and Mammoth(the 6 person round tube) does 1080. Build it bigger, use bigger boats, better capacity.

So, you are saying that those alligator head boats are 4 person, correct?

There must be theoretical "break runs" on a water coaster, correct? If they shut off all the LIMs then the boats will bottom out in each area I would think. Just musing... I have no idea how those situations work.

Express won't be offered on the Aqua Coaster, so it'll be interesting to see how the buffer queue compares on this one to other attractions that have express. Also haven't seen a concrete answer on this yet/only rumors, but does anyone know if you automatically get assigned the Aqua Coaster when you enter the park, so the earlier you get there the earlier your time is/the better chance you have of reserving another go on it (since Express isn't offered)?

Interesting point because on many aqua coasters they have evac ramps at the bottom of each jet section, but I haven't been able to see any on this one. Also, someone correct me if I'm wrong, isn't this not LIMs, and instead pro slide's new design that goes back to water jets?

Edit: Incorrect about LIM's and managed to identify stairs leading down from the valleys inside the volcano.

This has the hydromagnetic plates like on Wildebeest and Mammoth. Water is still shot uphill so that the raft can slide without friction issues.

At this point I would consider that a rumor, however as far as from marketing position and a news standpoint, things are constantly changing here and have been told one thing and then it's updated hours later lol but we haven't been told of this as of 1:10PM lol. I'll let you know if that changes

FYI...as I was logging in to make a payment for our trip today, It gives me an option to link a credit card which will enable Universal Pay via your TapuTapu. First I've seen of that. Hope this hasn't been mentioned already.

There's been rumors about it, but I think this is the first time anyone has seen anything official!

Universal Orlando

hopefully that link worked. If you click on the payments tab you can add a card. I'm really hoping you can just attach a CC to your Tapu instead of room charging.

It worked after I logged in, and even seemed to work with 3 park AP. (I didn't add a credit card though)

It does add a barcode to the UO phone app with your ticket info too that I guess could work as entry also.

It makes the most sense as it opens it up to everybody. The more people with quick and easy access to their credit card in the park, the more people will buy in theory.
