Morning report, just a few things I could find:

Still plenty of those rock work pieces to be sent over:

However that rock work has made it up to the platform area!

and some more from Bioreconstruct...

It's kinda funny watching that. You see the same double dip down hill section into a right turn over and over again but it's shot at different angles to make it look like it's a long water slide. They added one cut where they reversed the frame to make it seem like there was a left turn. Movie magic.

FIRST LOOK, WE HAVE THE DROPS!!!!!! Now we can see the full route those slides take and can see on the left of the photo the slide passing out and back into the volcano. Looks like it is going to be fast and a good ride time too!

Those pictures are incredible! Also is anyone slightly confused how those two drop slides appear to have colored tubes(blue and green). However, on the Universal site those slide's description is "Kala & Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides-Join Kala and Tai Nui where sea and sky meet and take a leap of faith from high atop the volcano. Twin trap doors simultaneously drop two guests down clear, intertwining tubes before sending them joyfully splashing into the turquoise waters below." So shouldn't the tubes be clear then?

Well assuming from that description then yes I would assume they should be clear but looking at the joints that are not wrapped they all appear to be colored leaving me very skeptical that they are clear. However if you look at the slides there are quite a few little sections where the slides are half depth leaving the top open, maybe they are going to put clear sections in those areas? Not sure really just a lot of guess work at this point whilst they are covered. If the drop and corners that hang out the volcano where clear that would be epic and pretty nerve wracking if you are not a huge fan of heights like me (The enjoyment of adrenaline means I don't let the height stop me me from doing things )

Curious, those slides were designed to cross like that years ago. Some plans don't change I guess...

So, I would judge that those slides are falling from 100'-120'. Is that impressive as far as drop slides go... generally?

Yes extremely impressive as I believe they both fall from around 125 feet which is taller than Summit plummet and a little taller than the tallest drop water slide(121 feet).

Just took some PICs from my room. They probably do not all belong here as this is just all kinds of stuff going on out there. Not sure these really capture anything, but it was what I could see without exploring around much on this trip.

You can see my room from there. I'll give you a wave, heading up in a few mins. On the 4th floor, look for 2 stacked red tubes against the window.

Aquatica's Ihu drops from about 80ft, so this should be intense, though the drop angle looks slightly less. I think Ihu's drop is just over 80 degrees, the drop portion does seem longer though. In any case, very exciting to see, these slides are really intense and fun.

The Ihu's Breakaway Falls slides are some of the most violent I've ever been on. These body slides are not only taller by about 40ft - but they're also considerably longer. Prepare for a major ass kicking lol.
