And in 2026 revamp Kidzone to be a DreamWorks land or maybe something Hannah Barbara if the rumored NBCUniversal WBD merger happens and goes through.

I would definitely bet on dreamworks being the kidzone replacement. Merger isn't even confirmed and they probably wouldn't want to change their plans last minute since studios desperately needs to be improve. Can always save Hannah Barbara for toon lagoon if the merger does happen.

I keep watching videos of the Secret Life of Pets ride and if they can manage to capture a little bit of that same energy this will be a real win

Plus, technically, they could make it a pretty winding course like an HHN house

As far as timelines, I think 2024 is out, but by early 2024(if not late 23), they are going to have a lot of construction workers wrapping the early phases of construction at EU. Will Uni let them move on, or will they go ahead and move some of them on to projects at the existing parks?

Of course we've strayed pretty far from shrek here.

If plans stayed the same, then it will be fairly curvy with scenes 4, 6, and 7 being the biggest change of directions. Scene 7 also looks like the largest partitioned area, so I assume that's the finale with scene 8 being the goodbye/get off.

Having no ride vehicle does allow for some unique winding layouts

I actually believe the easiest way to sort the soundstage look would be to go head-to-head with the Minions soundstage.
Instead of ‘become a minion now’ posters like we currently see have ‘become a villain now’ in a blatant rip-off. Would bring a good balance.

......like a Villain Con at a Convention Center. ....and presto, a cheap conversion with the Convention building look. Fits Production Central aesthetics , Simple and 'Cheap'.

I'd love all new facades, like in Japan and even Hollywood, but it sounds like they're sticking with their cheap Production Central Convention Center look. I wish @Alicia info was
wrong, but her sources are generally pretty accurate.

Even a blue or grey would go a long way. When I look at Transformers, a giant box sitting in the middle of the park (exposed on all four sides), I like the color palete on that building a lot more when I look at that building and then look over at the Shrek building. The darker palette of transformers is much more pleasing on the eyes than the bright and "themed to be unthemed" buildings that have the soundstage look in 2022 for no apparent reason.

Keep that look to the soundstage area that the USF Production Group runs and actually make the entrance to the theme park look themed to something.

Do people really expect them to do some elaborate theming on a sound stage building. This a cheap replacement so I didn’t anticipate anything substantial besides an interior redo.

Once again, I pointed out Transformers. Not completely elaborate, but it's exposed on all four sides, bigger than the building it replaced, and they went the distance to theme it properly. That's all I want.

Even the actual soundstages in Universal Studios Hollywood are moving away from the tan to a more modern white and black. It just looks outdated compared to the rest of the park and is getting more outdated by the year

Yeah, the soundstages have been seeing an injection of money of the past 4-5 years in hopes of looking more attractive to productions looking to film in Florida. Unfortunately, there's really no incentive to film in Florida anymore since the tax credit has been taken away and now Atlanta, Louisiana, and North Carolina have been benefitting from a lot of the tax credits. Universal gets big productions into their soundstages normally when they want to film by the ocean or space coast for location shots and need a production facility to film shots on a set.

That type of stuff like beach locations or even the space coast can be substituted in other states with areas that look similar and fixed in post-production to make sure it looks exact, so again, Florida isn't exactly needed.
