Great article Jon and Adrianna! Sorry I missed you today Jon!

One of my complaints was that the "shady" wooden structures barely provided any legit shade. The wooden beams were a bit too thin to provide good shade from the sun. Not BAD, but I wish they provided more shade.

But gosh, I can't stress enough how beautiful the Universal Tower is. I have a few gripes regarding a few details and construction materials on a few little things, but overall...the art deco design is perfection, the different color changing light fixtures on the tops of the tower, and art deco chandeliers are beautiful. Classic Hollywood, but original design. Bravo to the designers!

Love how it looks! It's gonna be such a relief walking through the Upper Lot without being crammed inbetween construction walls.

It was pretty dreadful looking at how crammed Mel's Diner was. I can't wait to actually walk through, I'm gonna be trailing around the place for a good 30 mins. :P

I had such a blast talkin to a bunch of cast members today. :) and I think I have a very good idea of where Hogsmeade might start...

Does Hogsmeade start near the Special Effects Stage?

It looks nice. But it's not an "inviting" plaza. Don't know what I was expecting but it's just a big water feature. No place to sit and people watch - in the shade. But heck yeah, the tower is really nice.

Is the menu at the new Pink's smaller than the City Walk counterpart?

I thought Pink's would have indoor seating, I guess I was wildly deceived. :P Where is Starbucks supposed to fit in all of this?

Probably (99.9999999%) no Starbucks except for the standard/decaf coffee already served at the snack stands around the park.

You're not the only one, many cast members were disappointed there's no indoor seating.

Yeah Starbucks has just been an unfounded rumor. For now, at least, it's not coming inside the park.

Does Disney maybe have exclusive in-park rights to Starbucks now...?

Not to the brand. Universal currently serves Starbucks Coffee (no fancy stuff though) at Finley's and International Café. The full-service style of Starbucks MAY be monopolized by Disney.

What I hope they do with that is probably have some vines growing up there to finally give us some shade. it'll also look nice with more greenery around the area. so far based on the pictures the plaza looks pretty bare, I'll be going today to see for myself.
