I really appreciate it.

I am going to UNI for a big trip this Thanksgiving. Havent been since 2007....so excited for the new stuff. Is FFL a seasonal show, or is it open year-round?

I would expect Fear Factor Live to be open for Thanksgiving since that's one of the most crowded weeks of the year - it'll just be coming out the theater's conversion to Bill & Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure for the Halloween Horror Nights event, which is really the main reason it's "seasonal" at this point (I think it also doesn't run for a few weeks in January, or something minor like that.)

As for refurbs... Jurassic Park River Adventure just came out of one, so that'll be safe. I don't think Dudley or Popeye typically go down until January/February, so those should be safe, too. Nothing really comes to mind, so unless it's something minor all of the major attractions should be good to go...

Beautiful!

Also, crowd-wise. From the travel calendars I have looked at, it seems it doesnt get busy until the actual thanksgiving holliday and beyond. The week leading up, based on calendars I've seen is it's pretty slow. Not to mention everything I am looking at hotel and vacation home rental-wise, is open for the week leading up (we arrive the 23rd of November)

So we are looking at going to ioa(x2) and studios that mon-wednesday.....with Thanksgiving dinner at O'hanas with any luck haha

Even when the parks are crowded, you can easily handle both parks with that much time. Just be sure to make Wizarding World of Harry Potter your first stop for days at Islands of Adventure and Transformers/Rockit at the Studios!

FFL has been revived to a full time show from it's seasonal days (Easter, Summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas). It now runs full time (Except for the Bill and Ted closure of course). I know one could make the arguemnt that missing mid Aug - Mid Nov makes it seasonal, but in UOs mind it's a full time show (and in terms of looking it if it might close in the future it's an important distinction)

Maybe to Universal, but missing about four months each year still makes it seasonal to me.

I know what you mean. I just tend to like to point that out when people aren't to familiar with it (as is this case) or people try to use the seasonal status to explain why it's obviously leaving. The first one to avoid that perception you won't see it if you visit in January when seasonal things should be closed. And the second because they brought it from seasonal back to full time, which general means they are committed to it (They had dead time to swap to something else)

Well, with Phase 2 on the way, they were trying to make the HP sections equal between the Universal Studios Store and the Islands Trading Company.
