So the first "Closed due to weather" means it really isn't closed due to weather? That's going to be confusing.

No they messed up. It says "Closed Temporarily with a wrench if it's anything other then weather. It's "Closed due to weather" with the cloud for weather.

OTPN posted some photos of the recently renamed food stand in the Lost Continent. The Coke Freestyle sign has been replaced by a sign that says "Doc Sugrue's Desert Kebab House." While the hanging sign that previously read "Oasis Coolers" has literally just been covered up with a sign that says "Delicious Kebabs". Which looks incredibly cheap considering that it was simply nailed over the other sign, and you can even see the some of the old lettering.

Work has completed around the concrete after the Hulk bridge. They are continuing to refurb the cut outs, Doc Oc is currently "On the Loose". I would wager a guess and say Wolverine is next.

Craving kebabs and hummus... :P BTW, the gyros across the street are pretty good. I'd love one of those right about now, too...

Anyways, from earlier, by @OrlandoInformer:

More refurb work in the vicinity of [HASHTAG]#Transformers[/HASHTAG] @UniversalORL

And I really hope this isn't MOLD on the ceiling of the Universal Studios Store. I thought they may have been going for a marble effect, but I actually think it's mold.

After studying the full-res pictures closer, I do believe it is mold.

First off, the mold mostly radiates from penetrations or seams in the sheet rock.
Second, there are small bubbles and ripples in the sheet rock paper and also some slightly lifted seams.

IMO most of this is caused by the convection of conditioned air through the penetrations and the conduction by fixtures into the unconditioned space above. This will cause condensation at the point of thermal difference.

Y'all. That's not mold.

That's theming because Potter-themed merchandise is located in that area. It's meant to evoke the "mold" on the ceilings of the shops in Hogsmeade. It's made evident by the older light fixture that is used there. Universal would NEVER allow all that mold to accrue in a visible guest area.

My dad's a chemist, works with mold all the time. I'll tell you like he told me. Florida is notorious for mold because of the humidity, and that there DOES look like black mold, but that would be a very serious health problem, and Universal would have taken care of it as soon as it popped up. For as much mold as there seems to be on the ceiling, spending 20-25 minutes or more in that store would have everyone coughing, sneezing, even vomiting. In some cases, when exposure to black mold is elongated in concentrated amounts, you could start coughing up blood.
Black mold is a serious health violation if in any kind of public area (especially a theme park) and a lawsuit waiting to happen. There's just too much "mold" for it to actually be mold. Plus, there are traces of burgundy in the ceiling, which I don't think is a color mold forms in.

I'm pretty sure it's fake considering I only remember first seeing it after they put Potter merch there.

It is a paint job. It was painted shortly after they moved the Potter merch into the store.

I agree here. If that was actual mold, everyone would smell it right when you walk up to the doors. It would be a huge liability not only for the visitors, but employees could get serious chronic health problems. So that building would have been shut down to visitors and employees until a certified mold abatement company came through and it was signed off on the removal.

Long story short it would not have gotten that bad, as it takes a long time even after it is noticeable to get that bad.
