But this isn't a theme park, per se. Everyone is making this park something it isn't. They're not trying to make the next big theme park, and the town certainly doesn't want that kind of crowd. This park is entirely 32 acres and is meant to be more regionally based. That means it's basically the right side of IOA (not counting FJ) - and that's meant to include ops, BOH, restaurants, and other services.
It can be the same size and offer theming, like I don't understand why thats so controversial.
If you showed a kids a park like this or one with the same rides but with theming which would they choose?
What harm is it to make the Trolls area something that can glow at night like in the movies and like Avatar land?
Also once again to compare to Disneyland, people can be like "well this is the standard" well Universal took standards in the last 20 years and improved those. Most would say HP is much better then Star Wars Galaxy edge at Disneyland and HHN took what knotts and other haunts were doing and turned it to 11.
So this could be a chance to make a new standard in these mini parks, which I think are a great idea. I mean I think Universal if they put money into these could one in CA near San Diego and use IPs they can't fit in Hollywood but it's strange to make a park and be like we only want to make the park draw X people and never more, maybe this was not the right town for it then if they don't want people visiting the park they are allowing to build
HHN in Vegas said it can only hold 3ish people according to the poster on the wall I saw and they went all out
Once again, I'm not calling for dark rides but I don't think any of these rides even touch Casey Jr at Disneyland in terms of theming and when you have Dinosaurs not having a show feels like a big miss opportunity. It does have to be T Rex's we have more mid sized Dinosaurs they could be featuring
Anyway, I know the park wont change, I just wish they could have found ways to use the space to make a more immersive attraction's for families and adults like me who like cartoons. Dog man is still my favorite film of the year, I loved animated movies even if they aren't aimed directly at me but a good writer knows how to make it where a child and adult come away with some new and this once again is why I dislike the excuse of "its for kids"
(PS I also really enjoyed Gabby's Doll house...never seen the show before but the movie was really good and now exctied Gabby has a mini area in a park)
