Knowing how JK and WB are with the details, the projectors might be hidden behind windows that open right before the show. They also might be under the bridge or in the forested section.

I'd think they would be hidden out of sight until right before the show and then they can be rolled out. Think along the lines of World of Color out at California Adventure and how they hide all the equipment until an hour or so before showtime.

Or at Epcot they have light structures hidden ad rocks, and once they need them the structure comes up.
 
An amazing improvement not only for this ride but for all the potter rides would be HD CGI for the screens. FJ and HE have more of a problem with this and Ive always kinda felt like adding movie HD quality could enhance the ride so much more. The CGI on the ride vs the movies are very different. Why is it that they can't put movie CGI on rides?
