I think what they’re hoping to do with Studios is stick with the international cities theme they already have going on. If Pokemon was there, I think the rights holders would want a straight-up Pokemon land and not have it be part of a Japan land. That might be why they’re *allegedly* putting Pokemon into IoA.

I find it sort of interesting that everyone seems to feel that 'plans changed' but it is all based on the idea that the internet looked at the (alleged) details of the contract to say 'pokeman should go here' and folks looked at lost cotenant and saw how Zelda could fit the vibe of a land built for another reason.

Anyhow, I just wanted to state that I am a firm believer that Pokeman has been planned for Lost Continent ever since it was decided to come state side.

I get there are folks who look at details such as 'it belongs in a Studio park not a with a literature theme' But this was always the plan for UoR.

Thanks, that gives me much better perspective. Seems the fans align with creative blue sky while the green light comes after the business side gives (forces) their opinion

I haven't stepped inside Mythos since the previous decade, so I guess I should make one last visit when I'm there in November.

Whatever replaces it will have a lot to live up to, aesthetically.

There’s not going to be another restaurant as aesthetically interesting as Mythos. I hate the idea of losing it.

I’d love to see some concept art of the new land, because right now I am deeply trepedatious of Pokémon. I think Pokémon is a franchise that will require profound creativity and a surprising angle to work - it needs to be approached in the same spirit they approached Marvel, another IP that required unconventional thinking lest you build Avengers Campus.

The Lost Continent and Mythos look was almost perfect. It will be tough to recreate/create a look and feel that's comparable. Attractions though, will be easier to surpass. Sindbad, while having a very good layout, was poorly scripted. Poseiden's Fury had a great look, was kind of old school Universal, but had seen better days. I loved PF, miss it, but its time had come. It no longer connected with Universals prime demographic.
