I think the Studios is secretly getting a rebrand right now, marking the Minions expansion as the beginning. I have some of my own thoughts of what could happen years from now.
New York: Easily the best area to expand the park, since some of the soundstages are next to it that could be used for future attractions like the Secret Life of Pets. However they would have to find some new house locations for others during HHN.
Behind Hogwarts Express: Universal’s office building will be relocated soon at Epic Universe, making more room for park expansions like a new theme area or even more Potter. This could be a good opportunity to do a better themed hotel than Disney’s Stars Wars hotel at Hollywood Studios.
World Expo: Men In Black stays cause of Spielberg like ET at Kidzone, but Fear Factor has yet to be replace by the Potter expansion.
Springfield: Hard to tell what will be replace once the contract expires at the end of the decade. As much I’d love to see the Back to the Future ride as a grand return, but it’s not marketable in today’s era, since the franchise ended with dignity and decency years ago. They could tear everything down for an immersive Pokémon theme area.
