I think if you're over 36" you can't physically get out of the vehicle once locked in short of really trying hard and squeezing out.

You could fling a baby out the side pretty easy.

Young kids fear a lot of things, especially loud noises. Ever have the displeasure of someone bringing a newborn into a movie theater?

I had an awesome day at IOA and didn't ride a thing. I just pretty much hung around from 9:15 until 1:30 and went home for lunch and to pick up my daughter. We made it back about 5:00. Fortunately, I missed the bulk of the rain.

It was great meeting some OU members I had never met. @AliciaStella did a great job of capturing pretty much what it was. There is one great shot with @BBL, @KongWatcher2016 , and me. And another with the real deal boys (BriMan, Banks, and TimTracker).

I live 3 miles from UOR, I have an AP, and Mon. and Tues. are my days off. I have ridden everything that I care to ride at UOR a bazillion times.......'cept KONG!

I chatted, drank a few Yuenglings, and met some awesome people including Mike West.

So I wonder what the point of the 36" height restriction. It can't be safety since I would think then Hollywood would have a height restriction. If it is age it is even more dumb. Someone without kids made that height restriction because prior to 2 most kids don't fear much of anything. Then somewhere in the 2 to 4 they start to fear things. So just as they are tall enough for this ride they will start to fear the things in this ride. Like I would not hesitate to take my 1 year old on this, it is my 5 year old I debated. My 1 year old would not be scared at all. The only time she gets scared is if she hears her sister scream in fear.

What a true fact. It takes brains some time to develop an understanding of fear. It was the worst time of my life as I ran with it, both in dreams and in night time chores between 5 and 12.

That doesn't provide any background on the attraction at all. It just looks like a really strange humble-brag.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw it. Lol

BTW, I was hoping that in the 360 screen it would end with you driving out and the screen still on, but it doesn't look like that. Does it just end with a roar and the screen goes black?

It does that in Hollywood during the backlot tour. If you saw a video of the ride that's what you saw, there are no videos of the Orlando version.

Goodness, teen boys are going to try to steal those skulls... they will rip and pull beyond comprehension. Personally, I would have no issue with crushing their head with a large stone. Otherwise, I am a really nice guy. :)

Can we take another moment to just celebrate walls being down? Holy walkways. I haven't been this excited about walls coming down since New Fantasyland and that made me want to do donuts in the land with a stroller.

No the screen stays on as you drive away. There is no break in that illusion. But the transition into the next scene has a 10 foot section of unthemed projection wall that you completely forget as soon as you see Kong staring at you.

God, that has to be the best original theme park attraction soundtrack ever created. It really evokes grand vistas and mystery of the unknown. It rivals John Williams!

The score definitely has a bit of Jurassic Park and Indiana Jones in its DNA, I feel.

I'm not a parent but I think you guys are over estimating how "scary" the line can be. This is not halloween horror nights. I'm sure the natives wont be trying to scare kids. Either way, if I was a parent I would just reasure them its not real and might even laugh if they get scared. The overly sensitive parents are gonna ruin it for everyone else.

If I'm stuck in line beside Princess Snowflake, first chance I get I'm gonna scream like we're all gonna die.

That should help.

The way this queue is set up, you have to make it passed the witch before you get to the scareactors. And she will intimidate any child before they even get to that part.

The witch is in a large room which you enter on the far side from her. As you move through the switchbacks in that room she gets more intense. Chanting louder and louder with her spells. Lighting flickers off. Effects start going. It gets dark. A fire effect starts to appear in the skull rock work all around you. But still you have to keep moving ahead. Closer and closer to her until the last switchback which is only a few feet from her as she stares right at you as you pass. If a child makes it through that experience, they'll be alright for a half a second encounter with a native.

TheRazorSlash said:
I'm genuinely concerned they'll do away with scareactors down the line due to parents complaining. Wouldn't be the first time something like that happened.
