I’ve already voiced my concerns with any new additions when they don’t even have enough staff to run every current ride at the same time, much less at full capacity with more than one train at a time. But I would love to see X2 get its fire and onboard audio restored and updated.

Even if overall better coasters are now opening (mostly at Universal actually), that ride will always be MM’s crown jewel and it has a certain power that can’t be touched.

Man a retrack alone would do AMAZING wonders for that ride. It would probably put it in my top 3 if the retrack smoothens it out!

Expansion? I’m interested. I do want a giga eventually lol

I feel the only retrack needed is the last raven turn. Are the current trains starting to get to the point of not fixable?

I wonder if it’d be a chance to bring free dimensional spinning back to SFMM, with a next gen iteration of the S&S 4D that could have that option for a few of the cars

That would ruin X2 if you’re implying what I think you’re implying.

See you know what I am implying--but the way I am thinking is if it could be like a Steel Taipan situation; where it's only for one of the main cars.

Say, if it's the back row that has the free spinning, but the rest of the experience is the standard X experience.

I'd also like to wonder if albeit in curiosity if they might take this as a opportunity to enhance the experience of X--with perhaps a changed element (like the bunny hill becoming a roll similar to Eijinaka). Doubt they'd go that far, but I wonder how severe the retracking would be.

Just give me fire, fog, on-board audio, fancy lighting & a SMOOTH non-assault/battery ride experience.

I'd rather not see a free spin on X2 (3?).. controlled spin is great, unless that's part of the design flaw issue for the current trains

So Conjuring gets the boot? Because if there is a mining town maze, that would be their best location for it. And new maze by Wonder Woman? So far, all the external Stranger Things decor is still on full display. But glad they're keeping Saw, that was one of the stronger new mazes.

And what's happening to Trick r' Treat? I liked the maze for what it was (though a lot of black walls), but it seemed like it never had a crowd at all.

I'll be excited to see the park

From what I've seen from walking next to the park, so much work is happening

As Wesker said we need another food location and another slide.

Just so happens, some slides from SFA Hurricane Harbor just became available, including a fairly new water coaster. Will be interesting to see where a few of those could turn up.

I wonder if it'd be too small though. Out of any SF park that should've gotten a water coaster, it is absolutely Magic Mountain; so I think it might be a small win (plus it could be a good means to further give SFMM more ahead of Hollywood Drift--if they need to push an emergency button).

Yeah Raging Waters has one so it blows my mind why SFMM’s HH doesn’t have one. Kinda why I slightly prefer Raging over Hurricane.

They wont but I think the park needs a redo in some area's

I think one of the kids area should be moved Lizard Lagoon, not taking out those slides but the pool in the back of the area.

Use one of the old kids area for a new big slide and find a way for a Water Coaster to get to the park as well and they have have it somewhere so its can just travel above walkways since we are limited on space

Along with adding another food location and I think for the now it would be a super solid park and get more people. I think a water coaster should be the top thing they want because that would be a big draw to people...I don't know any in the LA area

Wild Rivers 2.0 has one, too. Only Soak City and Hurricane Harbor don’t have one in the area, yeah? Kind of wild.

Six Flags Magic Mountain has stepped up its culinary game with a new executive chef who has improved the traditional amusement park offerings and plans to add more items to the menu in hopes of persuading foodies to give the park another look.

“We want to make sure that people come down for rides, but they also stay for food and enjoy the entire experience,” Magic Mountain Executive Chef Robert Velasco said.
Velasco invited me out to the Valencia amusement park to try the new pepperoni pizza, double cheeseburger and fried chicken on the park’s refreshed and updated menu.

The 32-year-old chef from Van Nuys was hired six months ago to rethink everything about the Magic Mountain menu.

No longer will Magic Mountain cooks serve up whatever is delivered by a food service distributor. Instead, Six Flags chefs will create dishes that go beyond traditional amusement park fare
Frozen burgers were out along with sesame seed buns, lettuce, tomato, onion and sauce.

Fresh double patty burgers were in with American cheese, salt and pepper and a tastier potato bun. The patty blend has been updated to 75% brisket and 25% fat content — making for a juicer burger.

“We figured that guests just want to have a really good cheeseburger,” Velasco said during an interview at Wascal’s in Bugs Bunny Land. “A good cheeseburger doesn’t necessarily need to have all the different ingredients.”
Also gone were the frozen pre-breaded chicken tenders. Now all the fried tenders are freshly hand breaded with a two-day brine for the hand-cut chicken.

Magic Mountain’s new chicken and waffles plate was inspired by Roscoe’s — a Los Angeles soul food institution.

“It’s an L.A. standard,” Velasco said. “We are making sure that we put our own spin on it. That it’s something new, but also something familiar.”

The new Nashville hot chicken sandwich on a coleslaw base and bun uses the same tenders with a bold sauce that has a middle-of-the-road heat level to appeal to the broadest possible audience.

Finally. Not thrilled about the prices, but at least the food will be a lot better than before. The food was always abysmal.
