Not specifically parking related but definitely vehicle related.  Universal Hollywood Drive is still undergoing some rather significant work.

If I didn't already know this is going to be a pedestrian bridge I think I'd be very confused by this structure.

Does anyone know if USH will get an on site hotel?
That would be located at the area where the old Fung Lums (I believe?) chineese restraint was. But ever since it really started actually; its been on hold for some odd reason..hopefully progress can come back but don't expect it anytime soon.

Shot from the roof of Curious George shows how much bigger the new structure is.  Three stories taller and quite a bit longer.

The connecting vehicle bridges don't quite connect yet.  One of those metal plates that bangs and clangs loudly as each vehicle goes over it is probably in the near future.

Pedestrian bridge doesn't look nearly big enough for the volume of people getting out of all those cars.  Any chance this will be multi-storied like the vehicle bridges?

As posted in studio tour forum, the side facing the neighbors is now camouflaged.

Does anyone think that the parking garage will open tomorrow? It will probably be pretty busy tomorrow and would be a perfect day to open it. The only thing that I think isn't done yet is the little pedestrian bridge leading from ET to Curious George. Has anyone been recently and seen if it looks completed yet?

All sorts of getting-close-to-the-end touches happening to the new parking structure.  Yes, the pedestrian bridge is looking nearly complete.  I would prefer it had a roof, though.  Anyone know is the final design includes one?  Lots of photos showing the approach to the parking structure where it looks like more work is yet to be done.

First, this is WC Fields Drive getting widened.

Around the corner onto Universal Studios Boulevard shows they're at the landscaping stage.  Lots of big palm trees going in.

Going around the next corner we see the pedestrian bridge.

Moving around the next corner we're above the entrance to Sullivan's Garage and landscaping continues.  I really hope those large chain link fences draped in padded green panels will give way to something more permanent and attractive.  They look terrible from both sides but probably do an adequate job of preventing light and sound from drifting to the neighbors.

Former staging area for the big trees now planted.  What's to become of this large area?

Through the gate and we see plenty more landscaping and the camouflaging of the parking structure.  When they're done you won't even see it.  ;-)

Caught some photos elsewhere and the blue lighting is pretty eerie especially once inside that bottom corridor. Pretty interesting (and bold) choice.

Parking structure looks like it could open any minute now! There are still some small stuff they need to fix like painting some areas, but other then that it looks perfect. Looks like it will have a similar layout as the Mickey and Friends parking structure at Disneyland. Not in the actual parking spots but how you enter. You will enter by taking a right (around 20ft before where you usually turn right to go to Curious George, then there will be long lines of cars on the 1st level of the structure waiting to purchase parking at one of the booths just like Disneyland. Then you will be either directed to the left to go out and around the structure towards Curious George, left or right (I don't know) to go up a ramp for the ET parking structure (you are already in the 1st level of it), and right for all the other lots and garages.
