I have the luxury of passing by this area every day for work and it's quite impressive up close. Not going to delve into details here, but there is still lots of work left even though the theming seems almost done in some areas. A few weeks ago they were testing water effects and, not gonna lie, I got chills.

I'm just very intrigued by how the attractions will be. I know Disney hasn't been making the most enthralling attractions as of late, but I think FoP might be exciting.

I've said this a few times and I'll keep saying this until it opens and I'm proven wrong.. I prefer Universal over Disney, I am a Harry Potter nerd and love the WWoHP, but I think this land is going to be amazingly beautiful and stunning with two great rides. I'm excited and can't wait for it to open (although good thing I haven't been holding my breath).

An AA does not make a land, it's just a highlight. They are always welcomed of course. What's really affecting this land is the long "donkey" time is taking to build and once built, the only 2 Attractions (which it's what ATTRACTS guest to the parks and the reason why they were called ATTRACTIONS) are "skipable", which means it's the type of rides that you can do from 1 to 5 times and after that, it depends on the wait time whether you do the ride or not. Although this will not be the same for everyone... I do have to say looking at the latest pictures of the construction, the main floating rock is looking pretty good and more natural, and I am glad because that's the only reason I'm looking forward for the opening of this land. I believe Disney will do an amazing job with the looks of the land, but I am pretty sure after 3months from opening day and after I ride Avatar rides a few times, the Safari and Dinosaur will stay on their current top spot on my list for DAK.

Well to be fair the Harry potter lands only had a net worth of attraction additions of 3, and the first harry potter phase only had 2. Though i must say it's sad to see a Disney owned park to have less rides than a harry potter land (HP has 6 rides in total, Forbidden Journey, the 2 rollercoasters in Dueling dragons, the kiddies coaster in hogsmeade, and Escape from Gringotts) compared to Disney's hollywood studios with only about 4 rides currently...

I'm sure they'll be very pretty and very good, but those descriptions do make the rides sound awfully much like 'Pandora's of the Caribbean' and 'Soarin across Pandora'.

IDK, the musical family boat ride sounds more like Avatar Ever After. "Let it grow, let it grow.." :pixie::ears::pixie:

Sounds exactly what I was expecting. A ride for all ages, and a ride for "light" thrills. I really hope they make this more exciting than soarin...which is borin.

Well, if the land fails to impress, they could always retheme it as Fantasia Land. (Brilliant!)

Yeah when I read it the last thing I was thinking of was Pirates. But yes, Avatar Ever After sounds more appropriate.

In all seriousness these descriptions don't really give us more information than we didn't already know. I won't judge until I ride. I love a good boat ride, so I am honestly very excited about the boat ride.

I remember reading hilariously inaccurate info in those guides too. It's nothing new besides how Disney will approach the PR.

You would think this property would be the ideal first VR attraction for Disney. The storyline is exactly what VR is made for- humans experiencing a completely new perspective through POV immersion tech. Not saying I want an attraction like this but it seems like a missed opportunity. I wonder if FOP will involve this aspect of the story by saying that we're supposedly controlling different Navi avatars from the army base.

The description notwithstanding, I'm more excited for the boat ride than I am for Flight of Passage! Obviously I hope both are worth getting excited about, but boat rides (especially through dark/nighttime environments) really do it for me.

WDWNT is reporting based on an internal casting call, that Cast Members working in Pandora will need to be fluent in the Na'vi language. Sounds wicked cool!

That's incredibly dumb (let alone also probably being hilariously inaccurate).

What?! I don't think so. Definitely steps up the game when it comes to staff being "in-theme". Assuming it's true.

Cool? Yes. Practical? No.

It's not like World Showcase where they can hire people from said country, they're going to have to teach people a virtually useless language and not only that, make them fluent in it. A few phrases here and there I can see though.

Agreed. Might be a neat touch for a few words but to be fluent in a whole language? Especially a language that I'd assume less than 1% know.

Screams trying too hard for the sake of "authenticity". Outside of a very specific niche, how many people go to World Showcase to hear their employees speak their primary language?
