Aladdin would be my first pick, but I’d like Moana as well

What'll happen is one of three scenarios

Scenario 1: Following the Moana series, a Moana attraction will be the 2026 addition to Tokyo DisneySea in the plot to the left of Indiana Jones. All us Americans will pine for the attraction to come to the states, ultimately to no avail.

Scenario 2: Disneyland will absurdly find room in the back of Adventureland for a Moana attraction. It will replace nothing. Magic Kingdom will not get it.

Scenario 3: Scenario 2, but it comes to Animal Kingdom because the film is kind of about the preservation of nature and it has animals in it.

As far as Kevin and Defunctland, I think he's like all of us in that most of the decisions made by Disney to update things is not the end of the world to him.

We all have wishes and different opinions on what we'd ideally want something to be, but at the end of the day it's not really a hill that's worth dying on.

I think he’s a bit like me and realizes he can’t do anything about what the Walt Disney Company decides to do. He has his opinions, but at the end of the day accepts that Disney is gonna do what they want.

Probably, but the more interesting way to do it would be to have a preshow like RotR and have a transport vehicle so you don’t have to walk as much.

Is there room for a queue/loading building near the paths though? It would take some pretty heavy restructuring to pull it off.

I'm pretty sure it's not possible without some major reworking, but it would be a good idea imo if it were possible to pull off.

It veered too far from the topic at hand. That being said....we should not be afraid of discussing these topics that involve the evolution of Disney attractions based on political and cultural awareness. My question about Trader Sam's is legit....and JungleSkip offered a possible solution. The natives with spears scene will also be changed but Disney has not yet offered any artwork or info regarding that either.

Wait, I was under the impression that new chimps scene was replacing this.

If that's not so, which scene is the chimps scene replacing? And how extensive are the changes to this ride really going to be, then?

I mentioned it above. My guess would be the Chimp Boat will replace the Pygmy Camp in WDW. No idea where it would go for DL though

Realistically, this update is going to happen in under a year (perhaps well under a year), so that timetable probably rules out drastic alterations to every scene, knowing the pace at which modern Disney works.

And @JungleSkip, I hope your theory about the "story" being contained to a section of the ride proves to be correct. Too much emphasis on that could derail the breezy, screwball nature of the attraction.
