I almost feel like people don't think that the film reel couldn't be Scream, but more so that the Magnifying Glass Ghost couldn't be The Conjuring or some other ghost hunting IP so they're forcing Scream to match it instead. It does seem crazy that we would get 5 IPs that could easily all be headliners (Terrifier may be a stretch for the definition of headliner lol) any given year, but idk.

I'm still skeptical on Scream in general - but the magnifying glass logo definitely makes me think of a paranormal/ghost hunting original.

Fair enough. But, even if you ignore the location piece and link the ghost with five lights icon to the film reel with five panes icon to be Scream, that might be (admittedly very weak) additional support for the idea that the ghost/magnifying glass is the fifth shared IP we need to figure out.

Only reason I don't believe it's an original is that it's one of the 5 shared with Hollywood.

I thin

I think there’s a very real, even likely frankly, possibility that HNN didn’t mean for that symbol to represent Scream (he’s kind of hinted as much on his Discord).

I personally still think Scream is the bloody film reel (“what’s your favorite scary movie”) and while I know some people on here are adamantly against it, I also still think the ghost being investigated with the magnifying glass is supposed to be Conjuring (The symbol seems to pretty clearly imply “paranormal investigation” and that is literally what the Conjuring films are about).

I think the doubt comes from it bc if thin lineup this year is FNAF, Terrifer, Scream, Conjuring. That’s a big lineup. Heck that’s the dream line up. 2 IPs we almost had in years past. Scream (purge) and Conjuring (Hive) with an IP that was said is unlikely bc of the rights. Wow. I don’t believe it.

Which is a completely fair skepticism to have. For me it’s not so much saying that I personally think all five of those IP’s are actually coming, just that I think they are what was intended by HNN to symbolize.

That’s completely fair as well. I would love scream to come. Wanted it since 2015 when it was coming and it got purged.

Also to add further fire to the Conjuring theory, the last film in the series is scheduled for release this year…

We also heard from @Legacy that Insidious returning was an early rumor. While not really portrayed in the house, Insidious fits the “paranormal investigation” lens as well if that’s what folks want to read onto the ghost icon.

Ok. Here me out…What if the “Demon city” icon on the Orlando map could be GOTHIC II?

Okay hear me out. Lol. A few months ago there was a spec map that had an image of a lotus and a flying dove. At the time, I mentioned Flying Lotus - the horror filmmaker - who has a horror movie out called "Ash." Although Flying Lotus is not a household name, the movie is getting a lot of traction. It's space/alien themed. That could be the symbol of the spacesuit we're seeing on the most recent spec map. Is it a reach? Yes. But I'm going to throw it out regardless.

I can't believe we're seeing Conjuring, Scream, Terrifier, Fallout, and FNAF all being simultaneously rumored for the same event. And for that reason, i withdraw from believing anything, thus putting myself in a better headspace to expect disappointment when it is NOT this banger lineup.
(who am i kidding, this is hopeless, the hype is real)

I -along with @Lucky Planet - think FNAF would be genuinely perfect for F&F queue.
Tight corridors, cement walls and fences.. with quick turns and good blocking it would actually slap in there.

I'm starting to go into more conspiracy mode like in a previous comment where we think about what things happening in previous events that can help inform or act as experiments for future events and all i can think of is Major Sweets being in F&F last year.
It was on the more PG-13 side of the event last year. Featuring kids. With a brick-work exterior entrance overlay with a colorful character emblazoned on the front. Where you walk through a 'factory' style setting with corridors and dedicated rooms to certain 'treats.'

FNAF is PG-13. Featuring kids. And would have a brick-work exterior entrance overlay with a colorful character emblazoned on the front. Instead of factory corridors, you're going through interior restaurant hallways, and instead of dedicated rooms to certain treats you have dedicated rooms to certain animatronic show-scenes like the Fazbear band and Foxy's cove or more things associated to the film like Chica in the kitchen or Springtrap in the storage room.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT; Pizza anyone?

Except "Gothic" had nothing to do with demons. It was a gargoyle filled cathedral.

Here's my full breakdown of speculations based off of the map. Most are repeat ideas from what others have said of course but I will be bolding some new spec/thoughts I haven't really heard other people say or might've just otherwise missed them. Note: maybe they have already been mentioned and I didn't see them...I'm an inconsistent visitor of the boards here so it's possibly others have suggested them and I missed them. Anyway...

Demon icon: Urban Inferno (already discussed/rumored)
Bloody film reel: Blumhouse mashup - M3GAN 2 And Black Phone 2(already discussed/rumored)
Thumbs up: Fallout because of the pip boy thumbs up (already discussed/rumored)
Pirate ship: Pirate original (already discussed/rumored)

Magnifying glass with Ghost: some are saying Scream (I just doubt we've gotten past those rights issues so I doubt it.)
Now, I haven't seen other people say either of these next two suggestions (again, can't say with certainty because I am not on the boards all of the time, I drift away and then play catch up so I apologize if others have said it and I'm repeating it:)
Graveyard Games Sequel or Boris Schuster (sp) Sequel.
Graveyard Games fits this icon because they were ghost hunting/searching for ghosts..Boris Schuster returning...also fits, he's a paranormal investigator...hence the obvious with the magnifying glass...and also I remember last year we had rumors we'd have the detective horror black and white comics house based off the tribute store that never came to fruition...could this be the year it does?

Surveillance Cam: Everyone is saying Five Nights at Freddy's. Maybe, if they got whatever the rumored issues were with the costumes/creator sorted out. It could also be The Last of Us returning. Season 2 of the show will be out and relevant...obviously the licensing for the last time we had The Last of Us was with the video game and NOT the TV show directly, but I could see them wanting to bring it back to latch on to the hype of the new season of the show even if the licensing is for the video game. Although I don't think we'd have BOTH Fallout and The Last of Us because they feel too similar...so that gives FNAT the advantage because I feel strongly Fallout is coming.

Eye Patch and Chains: Hatchet and Chains (as already rumored/mentioned) as standalone.

Space suit: Zyborgs standalone from Slaughter Sinema 2 (already rumored/mentioned.) This could alt be the logo for Fallout. Or, as I've mentioned: Ash. Once again my reasoning for this: previous spec map had a flying dove and lotus flowers...Flying Lotus is a horror filmmaker with a new horror film out called Ash that is spaced themed. It's a shot-in-the-dark and a stretch but again, going to throw it out as a possibility because I've heard the rumors of a space/alien themed house and why not.

Trash Bags: Terrifier (as already rumored/mentioned.)

Book with Snow: Either Scary Tales (as rumored/mentioned) or Nosferatu (as rumored/mentioned) or NOS4A2 (as rumored/mentioned.)

So I guess in summary my only new contributions are: Graveyard Games and Boris Shuster (unless they were already mentioned and I missed them) for the magnifying glass/ghost icon and Ash for the spacesuit icon.

I thought so too at first. But then I pulled up the other spec map that showed an icon of a gothic cemetery with a grim reaper. I connected that icon with the icon that’s on this map, and it lead me to believe that this could “Potentially” be a follow-up to Gothic. I am not saying it IS Gothic, I am just saying it COULD be Gothic.

2013 Orlando- Evil Dead, Cabin in the Woods, Resident Evil, Walking Dead, etc..

"Too similar" isn't an issue for the event. And most guests wouldn't even notice, especially since a majority can't keep track of what they went through anyway.

I just came here to say that even the rumor of The Conjuring is the first thing in this entire spec thread that had me gasp out loud with excitement. I, too, will refrain from hope because hope in HHN spec is folly.
