I agree, but it's fair to say that the Fast & Furious venue has significant layout limitations and is probably comparable to the Jaws queue.

Here's hoping they can figure out Villain-Con. A maze over that way would be welcome.

I guess if there is issues with the venue…is it going to be any less limited than what F&F is?

I also had not heard about issues with Minions, so that would be news to me

I think the main problem with Villain-Con is unlike before with Shrek, they can't use the preshow space (now the gift shop).

Plus while entry point would likely be same as before, where would the house exit? Logistics are the primary issue there.

I would think they had that all figured out before finalizing leaving an open flex space…

A house up there would be a welcome addition back. Like I mentioned previously, 1 house each at MIB, Coke, ET, La Bamba and Minions could really help spread people out and get rid of some bottlenecks.

We've inadvertently slipped into 2024 spec way too early, but since it's the topic at hand ... Christopher Ripley, certainly an expert on HHN (his book is quite good) if not normally a source for spec, tweeted a rumor that next year will see an 11th house "inside Minions." I presume that means the flex space not the old Hanna Barbara ride.

A FNAF house feels like the easiest “scoop” in the world at this point. Honestly if Uni is smart they’ll announce it on Halloween for the synergy. Jack VS Oddfellow feels like an anniversary year idea (HHN 35) but if they wanted to continue this years story into next year I wouldn’t be opposed. An 11th house does feel inevitable as the event counties to grow whether it be next year or not. That last bit is the most interesting as that’s something that would probably have to start pretty soon after the event wraps up you’d think.

I still think 1-2 stage shows will do more for the event than an 11th house. A house at minions will bottleneck crowds more if they close off the Villain/Transformers area for queue space.

It's good to hear we might finally get a dedicated HHN warehouse for the sprung tents. If they put it farther back in the expansion plot area, it would allow them to create more queue space and spread the crowds hopefully a bit more (maybe even invest in proper exit spaces along with improvements to prevent flooding)

Well, if an 11th house happens they'd pretty much need to use the Minion space AND F&F, right? lol

And yeah I would bet my house that FNAF will be there in 2024 - and I'd bet a cheeseburger that it will be announced early ala Chucky.

HHN is more than capable of building any type of house in any location.

The Exorcist could have easily been placed in a tent and you wouldn't notice. Oddfellow feels like a soundstage in some scenes.

They'll have to start the warehouse soon if they want it ready for next year as house construction is only 3-4 months away. Should see a permit come out in the next few days/weeks if true.

I know, typical 'The bus driver told me!', but FWIW, supposedly multiple Unmasking and RIP guides have said it will be done by 2025 at the latest.

But I'll stop there for now, we don't want speculation to get *too* chaotic so early

I’m wildly skeptical that they would begin to reconfigure backstage space before the south campus is open and whatever back-of-house functions are going to move there have done so and gotten settled in. A new soundstage somewhere backstage at the Studios in 2026? Sure. 2024? Seems unlikely.

Just in the past few weeks a lot of materials, probably for DreamWorks, were put back there over by the tents.

They're running out of space back there, and I doubt they put a warehouse where the tents are, that's prime space for expansion use.
