It’s been said so many times on here that an 11th house is just not happening. But every year, the rumor persists hahahah

I mean… an 11th house will happen unless things go very, very badly wrong for the event. It might happen in 2024, it might happen in 2034. But 10 isn’t a magical number for an event that has increased house numbers regularly across its existence.

Speculating about it each year is a bit useless, though.

Everything Else
.

1) Galaxy Gals – the PMJ-esque trio brought clever lyrics and mash-ups with tight choreography and harmonies. Every show I caught was a delight, and usually featured a song I hadn’t heard before, costumes fit the sci fi B-movie vibe perfectly. The Best thing Universal Entertainment has created since Celestina Warbeck.

(So the 3 girls singing in the coconut club are called GALAXY GALS. O k, now I can post what I wanted to say earlier, )

So earlier, everyone was talking on "what things can hhn bring to ease crowds"
How can universal spread the crowds.

But I feel like everything they need is already done, outside of hhn:
-chucky experience: his Chucky experience was done outside of hhn, for special guests (pass holders?) In a resort
imagine if the Chucky experience had been done inside HHN, with a Chucky puppet talking to you. ( the puppet from the Chucky scarezone)
right there, you would have everything you need for a Chucky meet up.
I understand that the Chucky experience was a nice perk for special guests, but imagine having a Chucky meet and greet inside hhn
-BLUMHOUSE Experience: same thing here
These photo ups on citywalk could have been a meet and greets inside hhn.
have 1 Megan, 1 Grabber, 1 5 nights at Freddy's bear costume. 1 PURGE girl. 1 exorcist girl....
imagine if they had set up the blumhouse experience inside hhn. Easy
- COCONUT CLUB galaxy gals : I was able to catch this performance recently. And they were really really lovely. I really really loved them. The songs were great and their voices were really lovely. They were so nice.
universal could have easily done this inside hhn.
easily. I highly recommend checking it

( all these 3 experiences are cool but kinda wasted, not a lot of people have seen them or knew about them. When I did blumhouse experience, it was empty. Coconut club during galaxy gals performance was empty)

Agreed.

I know this statement caught some flack during last spec season but it still holds true, it’s 10 houses until it isn’t.

Dead coconut club is the perfect place for the Galaxy Girls. It makes way more sense inside the club then just randomly at HHN

I notice how gross the outside of sprung tents looked this year in the light of day, wonder how bad it is on the inside. They had a good life.

The Minions flex space could be used for a photo or meet and greet experience. They would have to build even more make shift queues for it to be a house than when it was Shrek.

Now that they've proved the concept can work on an out-of-the-way 2nd floor shuttered venue outside park gates, why not find a way to move the entire concept (meaning a highly themed bar with entertainment, not this specifically) to somewhere inside the park? The theme park liquor license gives Universal a ton of leeway, and they have plenty of experience stocking temp bars. A third of a soundstage or Lombard's second floor or a repurposed Louie's could eat up a crowd through the night.

Had a friend attend Howl O Scream Orlando for the first time, only thing he talked about were the bars. Done right, they can be an attraction onto themselves.

I almost never make it to the DCC or Blumhouse purely because they’re only open during HHN hours and I’ve been so attached to doing house runs that I never feel like leaving early for CityWalk

A good idea. They do temporary themed bars with entertainment for the Orlando Informer buyouts sometimes, so it can be done - just have to figure out logistics (where is it, how do people get to it, etc.). Soundstage 33 seems like a good candidate (could still use it to host pre-opening media events) if they can figure out how to get people in/out.

The DCC needs to stay just as is - it’s perfect. That said, a dedicated, heavily themed venue with live entertainment, food, and beverages inside the park should absolutely be a part of the event going forward. I believe that’s a key component of what folks are referring to as a “festival center.” It plays directly to one of Uni’s main strengths, wonderfully themed temporary spaces like the Tribute Store and the DCCC.

In the same vein, it would also seem logical to bring back some kind of themed dining experience ala Scareactors.

It's also something you can "do" at the event without waiting in a 60-minute line*, which makes it a no-brainer to me. It's also another great way for Universal to monetize a themed space (which I care about less, but, I imagine they do!)

*Hopefully.

…and have festival centers open for Stay & Scream and reduce some of the headache caused from closing half the park for S&S locations.

People would be much more willing to spend on drinks if they’re being entertained instead of waiting in the hot sun

So... a question, and frankly one that probably no one has an answer to. Say Universal went and bulldozed FFL for the Potter VR thing back in early 2022, would they have just gone without an HHN stageshow for a number of years? Going through the options it doesn't really seem like there was much of another place to put one.

Crowds felt manageable on Friday and Saturday night. I have no idea why TLOU was 100 minutes on Friday after 11PM (Saturday's posted wait around the same time was between 55-65), but aside from that, I kept all my waits below 30 minutes.

When it comes to overall event crowdflow, the back half of the park needs to go back to a reasonable spread once Dreamworks is open. Sprung 2 entering between FFL and MIB as of last year was already bad enough, but Parade 2 entering by MIB and exiting with Monsters by E.T. is absurd.

This would be an absolute gamechanger. Having a sheltered/air conditioned area with food and drinks for S&S (particularly in NY) would be fantastic.

I'm hoping the Kidzone construction had more to do with this than anything.

Of course, I'm advocating for an even longer walk for one of the parade buildings lol

Never really thought of it this way. Not like Universal doesn't have 4 potential theaters that are just sitting empty during HHN (+ Music Plaza Stage).

I'd have to assume the HHN team had a plan in place to alleviate that lost capacity, and I can't imagine they'd do nothing.

The last 2 weeks have been bizarre crowd-wise. TLOU was posted 55 on Saturday... it was a walk-on. Which as a side note, is a practice the parks really need to get better at. I saw several DAS users just waiting outside the entrance waiting for their time... only to realize they could have just walked in (and used standby since they force Express to go around the maze of queue hell).

Those 4 aren't even considering the 2 empty ones at IOA lol (Horror Makeup, Animal Actors, Bourne, BMG)

The only one of these I could see being completely out of the question for HHN is Animal Actors, just with how tight that area is already.

HMU opening as a plussed version or just used as a meet and greet space would be great.

Bourne could just run its normal show during HHN and I think it would pull people in (did T2:3D ever run during HHN?)

BMG - I guess they use this for Grinchmas now? I feel like they could still use it for an HHN show, with a quick turnaround to Grinchmas after the event ends. How long could it really take to tear down one stage set and put up another?
