You keep arguing that, but the Billie house wasn't controversial because of her look change. She was still in her horror era when the house was supposed to happen. The two are literally unrelated yet you keep correlating the two as if that's why people had an issue with it and why it was "divisive". It wasn't going to be the "furthest HHN has strayed from horror" going off every single leak out there. It fit pretty snug right in the horror realm yet you like to insist it's not simply because of the name attached to it.

Because that’s where we are/were in the discussion of a new IP. It was divisive because the imagery kinda fit horror but the music never did. It’s pop radio hits you were hearing everywhere since 2019. Hence the reaction from fans. If we are using that type of division as a clue, it’s an IP that would create a similar response where half of HHN fans would be pissed at the idea of this IP coming and the other half open to it.

But notice how none of that relates to her look/hair style/etc yet that is what you kept choosing to point out over and over again?

I pointed that out as to why her house didn’t return in 2021 and it keeps coming up again because it’s being called misogynistic. You can certainly read it that way, but it wasn’t my intention. It had nothing to do with gender. It was more about marketing and the music industry in relation to an artist’s image. It seems weird Universal Music Group/Eillish’s marketing team/Eilish herself didn’t want a HHN attraction to conflict with her new look and album.

I’m starting to doubt any IP could be this divisive.

So….um…..any ideas on what originals we could get? I personally think there’s a shot of seeing the Caretaker brought back in some form.

Why do you think that? Would be cool to get a Screamhouse Requel.

During the behind the scenes tour (Didn’t take it but from what my friends who did noticed) was that Caretaker’s room was the longest in icons and there were several references to him throughout the other houses.

Could be A&D is trying to drop some hints?

I would love the idea of a Atlantis original like the sunken city where it takes place in modern day” when it arises from the depths of the ocean in the middle of the night where marine scientists encounter it to explore only to find zombies and sea monsters. That’s my guess

There’s bound to be a sequel in this year’s original line up too. We haven’t had the Body Collectors in several years…

He was also the only other icon to have a Studio Screamer figure besides Jack and Chance.

I feel like we are way over the bounds of reasonable speculation for this clue when Lord of the Rings and Spongebob are being brought up unironically. Rookie even said we are way overthinking this like 10 pages ago. We aren't going to get any closer to the truth than we are now, I don't think. The correct answer is probably in that first megalist or the trimmed down list Legacy made, and even then we really have nothing more to go on so any speculation at this point is just firing blindly. I feel unless we get a big rumor before the March IP announcement, we're all just gonna have to wait and see.

You know what...
It's better we don't know what this IP is yet.
This could be the biggest and most surprising IP to come to Halloween Horror Nights so far, let's live in this moment a little :)
We tried to throw, literally, everything at the wall we could, lets sit back, crack open our wonderful circus peanut beverage, and wait.

When we start throwing everything at a wall and get pages and pages of new posts every day we also run into issues of content and moderation.

We've done a lot of guessing, no one is going to confirm at this point, and I'm just sitting back relaxing waiting for the announcement season to start.

We're getting nowhere with speculation, just going in circles and circles. I would recommend some of us go outside and touch some grass for awhile lol. Honestly the random speculation is really pointless.

You know….I wouldn’t mind that. It’s been a full decade since they’ve done it (Time flies!) I wouldn’t mind them tackling it again but utilizing more material from the other games as well.

Wow... can't believe I've already been an HHN fan for a whole decade. Silent Hill was the first HHN house I ever went through (Hollywood though, tragically). I would absolutely die if they revisited a Silent Hill house, but stuck to the games instead of the movies. I don't think that will happen until either a new game comes out or a new movie, because as it stands the franchise is kinda... dead. It pains me to say that, since SH is my favorite horror IP of all time.

Didn't the Demon Slayer movie make 503 million dollars at the box office, making it the highest-grossing film of 2020? It's both a movie and a TV show, a sequel anime was just announced, it's widely popular (whether y'all want to admit it or not), and it's horror adjacent. It's clear the IP has a good relationship with the Universal company due to the merch sold in the parks and the attraction in Japan. And based on the reaction I've seen on the forum to it, it's clearly something that would be very divisive in the community. There are obviously other options as to what it could be but c'mon, it checks all the boxes.

I really don't think a Demon Slayer house would be as bad as people seem to think, if done right. You'd have to drop the anime aesthetic and make the demon designs a bit more grounded and realistic, but the strangeness of the designs and the gore could end up being pretty scary. The same applies to an Attack on Titan house. I actually think Attack on Titan would work pretty well since it genuinely is a horror IP. They could use the giant head puppets similar to what was used in La Llorona in Hollywood (not sure if Orlando has ever used them). It would also be pretty cool to see a few scareactors on bungee cords like in The Fallen or on a cable like the witch from the Deadly Ever After façade to be soldiers with ODM gear. You'd probably have to focus more on the human-on-human violence and use the Titan puppets sparingly, though.

Do I actually think either of these properties are likely? Not at all. But it's fun to think about, and I would love to see them.

They really should just take the risk...its not like the licensing rights for these IPs are that expensive (likely much cheaper than Ghostbusters/Beetlejuice and they can use it for USJ HHN as well)

The licensing rights may not be, but building the house is. So they still want to be confident the rights they purchase will work at HHN and/or draw crowds.
