Rapunzel's Tower Being Added to Storybook Land Canal Boats at Disneyland - WDW News Today

Storybook Land Canal Boats at Disneyland Park will get a new Tangled-inspired miniature when it reopens this winter.

Rapunzel’s tower will debut on the classic Fantasyland ride when it reopens this winter. It has been closed for refurbishment since July. Concept art shows the location of Rapunzel’s tower, between the Patchwork Quilt and Toad Hall.

Beyond the tower, there will be a curated selection of flora, wanted posters for Flynn Rider, a dock with a boat inspired by the one in the film, and a trail of twinkling lights winding up a trellis on the bridge.

During the day, guests will hear an arrangement of When Will My Life Begin? Starting at dusk, they will hear I See the Light.

What missing IPs are the most likely future additions? Maybe...

  • Sleeping Beauty
  • Mulan
  • Encanto
Come to think of it, on a different topic from Storybook Land Canal Boats, wouldn't it be cool if there was a Fantasyland dark ride at Disneyland for Sleeping Beauty and one at Magic Kingdom for Cinderella? Have either been made as dark rides?

Beauty and the Beast is the biggest thing missing from Storybook, I think the reason Sleeping Beauty may never be on the ride is because of the castle and we do have the Sleeping Beauty walkthrough so not sure if it will ever get a ride plus its just not the biggest movie missing from the land..so would not hold my breathe on a ride

First the good news, these tickets are a great value and you could see the holidays, Lunar New Years and Season of the Force/Food and Wine (there is like a week or two with both events running) for 250 bucks not a bad deal at all

California Residents Save with 3-Day Park Hopper Discount | Disneyland Resort

California residents can enjoy a discounted 3-day Park Hopper ticket, with the option to upgrade to a Lightning Lane Multi Pass to save time in line.

Unfortunate news....A Disneyland guest passed away while riding Haunted Mansion on Monday evening....reported by Theme Park Insider.
Edit: Four of the seven forum responses to the story on TPI are making jokes about the poor lady's death. At least that's not something that happens on IU. Update: Seven of the ten forum responses, and they're by regular posters, are joking about her death. A really bad look for TPI.

Just got back from a little weekend trip, t'was good to be back since my last time was 2019. That was a great first impression since the parks were very quiet due to Disney botching SWGE's opening with the passholder restrictions and everyone knowing Rise wouldn't be opening with the land.

As for this trip? Still a great impression! This time I actually stayed on site at the Disneyland Hotel, I was in a DVC Duo Studio, and I really liked the room! Definitely makes great use of the space with the Murphy bed, and I dug the vibes of the hotel, especially at night.

As for the parks, a good chunk of stuff was new for me since my last trip.

Snow White's Enchanted Wish - While it's a little bummer losing most of the scary elements, the new actual ending of the ride makes up for it in spades as that was a great wow moment!

MMRR (DL's version) - This fits right at home in the new Toontown, and the queue is great!

RRCTS - Out of all the attraction changes over the past years, I'll say the Jessica Rabbit as a P.I. is so far the only one I feel is a bit of a whiff. But on the other hand it's so incredibly minor it doesn't affect the ride at all.

RotR (with Turrets!) - Ok, the moving turrets are really cool! Glad I got to finally see them in action.

Space Mountain (Regular) - So my first introduction to DL's Space Mountain was Hyperspace Mountain, which makes it interesting to finally experience the regular version afterwards. I enjoyed it as the ride has a kick butt layout and pace plus a great vortex tunnel effect on the lift...though if I had to choose, I prefer Hyperspace Mountain as that has a lot more going on during the ride, and it gradually builds to several climactic moments for a richer experience. (The Tie Fighter near miss, the crossfire shortly afterwards).

Haunted Mansion Holiday - I enjoyed this quite a bit! Granted, I can understand the folks who're irked this version is up for Halloween instead of the O.G. HM, but if I can be a little bit greedy...I'm so used to WDW where they don't get many overlays at all...so I'm happy to have this amongst several others!

GotG: Monsters After Dark - Speaking of overlays, I friggin' loved this! I also appreciated they were able to run both Mission: Breakout! and this overlay during the day.

The music overlays for Mater's and Luigi's were enjoyable as well.

Also, I was very happy to visit during the Halloween season as this resort does it so much better than WDW. From the overlays, to Cars Land's "Haul-O-Ween", I was in quite the Happy Place down here!

I also got to hit up Oogie Boogie Bash last night, and I really enjoyed it! Loved the character interactions on the trails, the sheer creativity of everyone's costumes (seriously, the folks here do NOT mess around with this and I loved it!), and I dug both the parade and Villian's Grove which was a treat to walk through.

Finally, the food. This resort knows how to hit the right spots for me. From the corndogs, to the Carolina Loaded Tenders during OBB, to both the Carthay Circle Lounge and Paseo delivering some seriously good eats. (Pork Belly Bao and Salted Caramel Ice Cream and Curro Sunday at CCL, and Duck Leg Waffles at Paseo.)...I was always content with what I got here.

All in all, this was a great weekend trip for me! I do hope to return again soon, which is very possible.

Consider this a little part 2 since there were a few things I forgot, and the initial post was big enough.

Web Slingers - Going into this, I knew the reception hasn't been the best for this ride. So my expectations were pretty low, but I ended up enjoying this more than I thought I would! It's a fun little chaotic shooter, and I was impressed how accurate the tracking was for the movements. I think this is a pretty fitting ride for the Tom Holland Spider-Man who can still be a tad in over his head. All in all, I think it's a perfectly fine supporting attraction...though it'll definitely help once the Avengers ride opens to fulfill the actual anchor spot for the land.

Indy (With new updates) - Indy is still one of my favorites, and the new segments after the mudslide look great! Definitely a big improvement over the rat projection on the mist which was definitely hit or miss for me.

I'm also happy I finally got on Golden Zephyr, trying to ride that in 2019 was simply futile. I was able to watch it operate from a distance, but whenever I got close to it the winds were too high. The ride itself is a nice enough spinner, definitely provided a great breeze, too.

Now if there is something that could improve for me, it would be the security process. The bag search by hand can be painfully slow compared to WDW and UO which utilize scanners for the bags.

There, that now covers it!

The Bags are for sure one of the most complained about thing at Disneyland

I just have to assume its something with the workers/union

When its slow, it doesnt impact much but once there is a line....its so slow and Id rather my bag get scanned then have someone touching everything in my bag
