Obviously it's early, but this lineup of originals sounds really interesting. Yokai sounds like it could be this year's Chupacabra.

Also this is very off topic but I just watched a video and I have to ask - at Hollywood last year, was Universal Horror Hotel supposed to be Evil Dead Rise? Because.. it certainly looks like it lol

Would they really do a Krampus original so soon after having the IP? Can't really get my head around that.

You all remember the recent Krampus Boutique in Islands, right? It wasn't based on the IP. It's been a while since HHN26, so if they go into its hellish folklore German roots, it can easily be a different and original spin on compared to what we saw at HHN26. Also, haunted attractions across the country, especially during the Christmas season, playoff their interpretation of Krampus, and it's really popular.

I hear things but nothing is solid at all. We're still in February, and last year we didn't have a solid hand on the event till May/June.

Based on the recent Spec Map (assuming these were the actual houses on opening day), id have to say IMO, I see no major hitters outside TLOU. This feels like a down year for me, compared to years of past. Still exciting but nothing hits me like.... have to plan my trip now to see this or that house! Time will tell!

Same here bro! Since its only February, i'm still hoping that the guitar icon holds some STRANGER THINGS, or something EXCELLENT! But I do think that the Guitar Icon is something big though.

TLOU - literally #1 on my all-time HHN wishlist
The rest of the IPs - eh
The Originals - all sound really cool.

Of course, I'd go if it was 9 Chance houses along with TLOU.

I’m the opposite of you. I’m excited for most of the IPs except for TLOU. I feel like we got it already with DoD last year. If they bring it in a couple years that’s fine but after just last year, no thanks. But it’s coming more then likely so I’ll just have to wait and see.

Assuming TLOU is gonna actually happen, it’s literally going to be like, completely different than DoD tho. DoD was essentially Mad Max that ended with bioluminescent weird cave people, The Last of Us has very different locales and monsters, and a very different tone. Plus it’s most definitely gonna go in a Soundstage.

Pretty much, it's no coincidence many of the scenes look straight from the trailer. And they're probably happy the trailer wasn't released until this year, well after the event was over.

Yep, the bathtub scene alone is honestly almost 1:1 with the trailer to the point its almost funny.

While that is true DoD was inspired by TLOU which many people agree with. The house probably will be very different but we can’t say that for sure yet so it makes it not very up there on my SPEC hype list. We know nothing about It(not even where it will be as last year the big IP wasn’t in an SS) Also as I said I’m going off the current HNN spec. Map which can and will change. So TLOU might not even happen. IMO I think it’s more then likely.
