Old school helicopter and a 300mm lens is still cool?

I may have to show drone guy how it's done.

For all the drone talk, I have to give it credit for really highlighting how amazing this park is shaping up to be. The scale of it all did not previously connect with me until I saw that footage.

I blame the Weenie being so visibly impressive! :p

Private property includes air space up to 500 feet (which is also why minimum altitude for aircraft is 500ft). You must have permission from the owner to fly over their property, Universal has explicitly said flying drones over their property is not allowed. Seeing that drones cannot go above 400 feet, drones are not legally allowed over Universal Parks.

Nope that's not true. Florida has no law forbidding drones from being flown on private property. As long as the drone is under 55lbs and the operator maintains visual contact with the vehicle it can be flown anywhere that isn't close to an airport.

Interestingly enough there is a Florida law restricting law enforcement's use of drones for surveillance except in cases of immanent threat. But I haven't been able to find any law restricting personal recreation UAV's. Maybe I've overlooked something.

Early park admission for on site hotel guests. Nice benefit. A water theme park without early crowding.

This video is trying so hard to sell Volcano Bay as a solid theme park lol. Only thing makes it different is not having a parking lot, and Tapu Tapu. 18 Attractions is somewhat average for a water park and lackluster for a theme park. They are truly stretching it.
(This isn't aimed at you MR.Epcot. Just a general response to the overall video)

Exactly which leads me back on to my previous post quoted below a couple pages back which was blatantly ignored. another couple pages of drone talk since that post, no one needs to listen to me at all but this thread has been super informative regarding volcano bay and the occasional discussion goes slightly off topic which is fine but the recent drone conversation needs to end or go to another thread or how about a private message conversation? oh no wait we could talk about the fantastic footage someone got of the entire thing we are here to discuss and share info on.....no?

But regardless and this is to everyone, lets just appreciate someone got some awesome footage and lets not turn this into a drone/quadcopter regulation thread yeah?

I spent way too long at that trying to figure out why somebody was in trouble. I figured somebody had sneaked into the construction site to take photos or somebody working there did.

Yeah Scott sorry It was intentional not stating what was wrong with the picture. If it makes you feel any better, if it were me I would probably have needed it pointing out as I usually like to miss the obvious

Oh God, I post someone's video on here and the post blows up, but not even on the awesome footage? Seriously?

What video blew up? There has been 3-4 pages of drone talk because of the awesome footage, what more could you want?

Great picture, especially love that it includes Sapphire Falls, I absolutely love that place. Can't wait to return there to experience Volcano Bay!

Blizzard beach only has 12 attractions, Typhoon Lagoon is soon to have 13 attractions. That's not somewhat average. Universal has 18 attractions not 18 slides some attractions having more than one slide. 18 is also more attractions than DHS has open right now and 4 more than AK has.

3 pod drop slides
1 wave pool
2 rivers
4 mat slides
1 saucer slide
1 funnel slide
1 family raft slide
1 wave wall slide
1 water coaster
4 tube slides

Not a bad lineup...still, I'd like to see slides similar to Disco and Brain Wash, more standard family body slides, a surfing experience as well as a mammoth water coaster...and this park would have basically the perfect lineup of attractions.

I was gonna say, they really did their comparative research on this and wanted to be way out in front.

Watching that video today I was really struck by the scale of the waterfalls. I wonder how much is an artists exaggeration and how much will actually be like that? It just seems like it will be a HUGE loss of water all the time between evaporation and the wind blowing the water.

All the "attractions" plus effects and volcano show. This will be the biggest thing to hit Orlando next year. Sorry Jimmy
