Is it just me or does it almost look like the mountain is giving "the finger"?

Haha, that would be on the south side pointed toward Disney.

Just sayin'.

Ha ha love it

Out of interest what will the next steps of skinning the volcano be?, I presume spraying with concrete before painting.

That shot with the conveyor is interesting. Those slides look like body slides, so there would not be a need for a tube conveyor. Or am I just off on the style and those are tube slides?

This art has changed quite a bit from the original. The clear drop halfway through the volcano in other art is gone here.
Also whats that giant orange slide it looks almost level with the drop platforms

That's the saucer one that will be next to another large raft ride. It is just the perspective making it look that tall and should be about as tall as the large green and blue slides by cabana.

I'd be worried if that was case. Surely the steel skeleton should be more than sufficient?

He means the upper stories of the scaffold, not the volcano

@Teebin, I posted this earlier

"Out of interest what will the next steps of skinning the volcano be?, I presume spraying with concrete before painting."

Would this be correct? this looks like a new way of doing rockwork, it doesn't look familiar to me

Those are the mat slides where you will race headfirst down the slides. The conveyor is for the rubber mats you will slide down. Blizzard Beach has a similar conveyor for their mat slides.

Also, the slides in the back of the park (green and blue ones that went up first) have a conveyor. Those will be tube slides.

That was totally my first thought as well!

I also thought it looked like the Hamilton poster as well. Universal is not throwing away their shot!

That is truly hilarious if that rock formation does in fact face towards Disney though.

Ah, forgot completely about mat slides. Makes sense now.

I thought the scaffolding to the right went all the way up too. It's been a long day.

Maybe they're mat slides like these and that belt is for the matts.

Yeah, they are already doing it down below. It is the orange rebar skin, then shotcrete/gunnite, and then detail sculpting on top of that. I believe paint in one or two coats will be the last step.

There may be another step in waterfall pool/fall areas.

That's an awful lot of concrete and sculpting, they gonna be kept busy for sure. Should be interesting watch this start coming to life in the final stages.

Another question if I may, where the heck will all the water come from? tankers or mains?
the hoses will be running forever once they start filling. Hope they're not on a water meter LOL
