What I don't get is how does there being no Zootopia ride in development mean it wasn't a successful movie? Zootopia has still grossed well more worldwide - Zootopia $1.023 Billion, SLoP $599.6M. The only movie that has grossed more money than Zootopia this year Worldwide is Captain America: Civil War.

They're both very successful animated movies, but we can't just start a narrative that just because there's no ride = not successful.

Dude, you really gotta stop looking into posts so much. He wasn't saying it wasn't successful. Just stating what each IP has in the pipeline.

I just looked at the way it's worded and it seemed snarky. I could care less how much any movie makes as it's not my money. Say I "look into it too much" all you want, I say what's on my mind.

Relax, man. By your own admittance, you've said in the past that you sometimes don't read all the way back because it's a lot and just look at the last few replies.

I'm just saying there is no need to create something from nothing. He was just stating things as a matter of fact after Quinnmac said he would like to see Laika IP's in the parks.

And i'm fine with that. I thought I had been keeping up with the thread well enough that I knew what he was talking about.

My problem now though is that you're making me defend something that I don't care about other than for making a point in that post, which is pointless. I would've just rather Alex corrected me.

OK.

Sorry.

I saw the post, didn't wanna go to bed and wake up to see 10-20 posts of a thread derailing because of whatever you wanna call it - It's my job as admin/mod....step in and moderate; but now we're delving into irrelevant posts of this crap. Let's just drop it and move on.

I mentioned this in the dragon challenge thread but I wanted to cover it here. Dragon challenge is rumored to shut down very soon but no permits have been filed. Meanwhile multiple people have commented that surveyors were seen in Toon Lagoon. I wonder if Dragon challenge is being postponed to fast-track secret life of pets? No rumor. Just speculation on my part.

Now that Comcast has officially acquired DreamWorks, anything could start to happen. At very least I would look for DreamWorks merchandise to start showing up in Toon Lagoon.

I would expect a bump up in the amount of DWA Merchandise more Resort-Wide as opposed to anything contained within TL.

And I have already commented on the DWA thread that I wouldn't be shocked to see DWA have it's first major projects come for USH and/or USB before Orlando (As i think they will play the smart move and wait off on DWA until the Third Gate).

After seeing the trailer for Sing last night in a theater full of kids and adults who just went to see a kids movie (it was a special screening of Willy Wonka), the reaction was quite strong and very positive. Maybe they skip SLoP and go right for Sing for Orlando's dark ride? :D

I certainly hope not. Besides, secret life of pets is already designed.

And Sing doesn't look very good. If it gets anything in the parks it should be a CBJ style show.

We will know come next weekend if it is good as the first official screening are happening at Toronto International Film Festival. However, I think SLOP was Illumination's focus on making money while SING is going for inspiring PIXAR like and Meledandri is pushing the film hard around the awards circuit.

With that being said, SLOP makes for a better ride than SING would. SING fits better in a show as you have stated.

Secret Life of Pets Cancelled for Orlando more likely with early sing reviews...I'm thinking one will be an exclusive at each park with SLOP for Hollywood and SING for Florida.
