Jurassic World could work pretty well. The vehicles are jeeps, you could have multiple near misses with dinosaurs, the drop track could be a falling bridge, etc. I would have thought the IP was dead and thus couldn't get new attractions, but Rebirth did extremely well at the box office.

I don’t hate this idea. I feel like this would be the most likely theme with JW right there to make a Jurassic World land.

I feel like that ride system could work for a new Universal Monsters attraction. I'm skeptical that Hollywood would ever get Monster's Unchained as it exists in Orlando, as it has a lot of similarities with Forbidden Journey.

I would be absolutely down for this. It would be the best case scenario to bring the Monsters to USH and would be a perfect replacement for the Mummy! The question is would USH be willing to put down the money on an exclusive E-ticket?

This would be perfect. I've been thinking for a while that if we get Monsters it will either be as a Mummy replacement, it's own land a decade from now, or we're just never going to get it.

They need to put a flux capacitor on this coaster and bump it up to 88 mph.

Just stay tuned to this thread. Everyone else is as excited as you are for soft openings, and there's eyes and ears everywhere lol

Planning your vacay will probably have to take quick decisions at some point, if you can't make it a day trip

Delays always happen. The failed structural integrity test along with the rain delayed this by quite a bit

I believe very early 2023

Also went to the park today and stood around the escalators waiting for Hollywood Drift's parked car on the LSM's to start up. Waited for about 4 hours before a construction worker told us not to bother for today.

They said the ride will launch again on Monday morning before the park opens. They also confirmed that there will be no animatronics in the queue (I really wanted my vin diesel epic universe AA figure). They also said that full circuit testing will begin in 2 WEEKS!! And the wrap will then come off of the train with 4 chargers attached together that's currently undergoing all the stress tests on the launches.

It will. The coaster is the show element. They're putting glass all around the perimeter of the queue so everyone can get a good look at it. Looks great so far.

ALSO, probably the biggest info, the worker today confirmed that there will be no glass or extra barrier of any sort surrounding the first set of escalators. That to me is INSANE especially since someone can easily throw something at a train going under the escalators or a person could even jump onto the track itself. Hopefully it never happens but man, Universal is really putting a lot of trust on its guests in this case.

No extra barrier for now. Remember Velocicoaster added that archway over the lake segment for the guests on the bridge. All it takes is one guest to ruin it unfortunately.

It’s a shame that they are blocking the side of the queue structure that overlooks the hill. It could have provided some nice views.

That was what I was thinking too! Why are they blocking the side of the queue structure? I thought the whole reason why they construct flooting queue space in the middle of the track and up on the ground was to show and give the idea of the whole layout before riding, since this coasters view from outside is already pretty limited. If they were putting those walls instead of glass windows like that, that area would be feeling pretty claustrophobic than open. Also, putting a wall like this doesn't look good on the outside and rather raises a question about this decision.
