We have no date but the main coaster construction stopped at the end of last year

There were periods where they got so much done then weeks or months or nothing.

So many thought it could open by last Grinchmas which if they did it at warp speed might have been possible if they didn’t have other issues

Next is by fan fest, this is when we got the magnet and just logically makes sense to open

Then the end of May for the holiday weekend and now we’d assumed by mega movie summer by how it seems to be the main IP with a mini show, restaurant take over etc

I have zero insider info but seems like the hill and cars moving gave them some trouble and here we are two days before mega movie summer with no date still as they sell tickets for HHN advertising the ride

If there was a date that made sense myself personally, it was definitely Mega Movie Summer. Fan Fest I had some thoughts because of the placement of those screens advertising the event, but when it didn't come around I wasn't disappointed. It seems they really want to open as soon as possible, but something is holding them back; my speculation personally.

Yeah I totally see KTLA being invited to promote the big opening of the ride by showing off the queue but things came up and now they just gotta awkwardly say it's opening Summer

So, a gotcha question. We just discussed this a few pages ago. See below:

It's pretty abundantly clear the ride is behind. There have been a series of promotions, between the rollout of television advertising, annual pass monthly magnet gifts, and the Hollywood & Dine retheme, that were likely developed and greenlit with the presumption that the ride would be ready for those rollouts.

(Also: Obviously they'd have preferred for the ride to be open for spring break and early summer crowds.)

Now I'm speculating the press event will be July 14 or 15 the the ride officially opening the weekend of the 18th.
