Not so!

I would take any other kind of attraction than another coaster I won't be able to ride.

Try to convince me that The Mummy is a good fit for a roller coaster. There are no steel track visible in the Brendan Fraser film nor high speed scenes that make sense on a roller coaster.

I do think an indoor, "storytelling" coaster is quite markedly different from what we're all assuming this coaster is going to be, though.

I'd love to see Ghostbusters get the Revenge of the Mummy treatment.

for what it’s worth, i don’t think it’s going to be a ghostbusters coaster. i don’t know what it’s going to be, but im fairly confident it won’t be ghostbusters.

I think my point is it’s hard to see the vision before something exists. And rarely, if ever, does a new theme park attraction actually match the concept we would have done in our head. Because why would it, we’re not the ones designing and building it.

But none of this matters cause there’s no way it’s Ghostbusters. And ain’t no way I’m riding in Slimer’s butt, it’s either Ecto-1 or what’s the point.

As cool as the slimmer coaster car is…
The Ecto 1 would be the obvious choice.

They can recreate the facade, and the ride can still be F&F. This isn't a mutually exclusive option.

Oooo I've never thought of this possibility! I wouldn't be opposed to it.

I brought up the idea for an Amity mini-land and the Hill Valley Clock Tower replacing the Supercharged/San Fran area, and yeah, they could absolutely retheme this area back into the Ghostbusters Fire House and just place a little meet n' greet with Venkman, Phoebe, and Winston in the suits inside of it.

Like the Clock Tower and Little Amity, it's a very small-scale addition that would enfuse a lot of that classic Studios energy back into the park, even if it's not at the level of retheming Men in Black or HRRR.

Oh, there's an annual Ghostbusters Day and it happens to be today. I really hope that's not the sole reason for these GB social media posts from Universal. It would be the biggest tease to have all that come out the same time the walls went up around the firehouse.... I'm really hoping this is a GB theme and not more F&F

Did this whole board legitimately get worked up because we didn't know about Ghostbusters Day? Did we learn nothing from the HHN threads? :lmao:

I mean even if it is just a pipedream, I think this looks fun and comparable in theming to Velocicoaster:

What if the new coaster (if that's what's it is) doesn't go through this facade too? Restoration would need to occur to seal the hole that was made for HRRR, and this could be their way of teasing it.

Uni is embracing the nostalgia and early park vibes a lot lately, so they could bring back something small for Ghostbusters while adding something for the new ride.

Just like I'd been asking for Universal to finally build another Jurassic ride, and they responded with a coaster I'll never ride, I can't handle if they take another of my favorite IPs and do the same thing to me!
