I have no problem with California getting monsters , and I would almost expect it if the ride is popular. If the merch sells well enough , it’s definitely something they will want to repeat.

So, for legal reasons, here are some of my non- spoiler first impressions of Dark Universe. Is that fine to say? I hope haha!

• Monsters Unchained was the biggest wow moment for me the entire day. Not to pump up expectations too high; but I had heard it was the best simulator on property, doubted it, and understood once I finally saw it. The first ride to bridge that gap and make me truly believe that a screen was more than just an extra-large flatscreen affixed to the building. Spider-Man meets Bourne meets Rise.

• The Werewolf show scene is bad. The figure is one thing, but the art on the wall is painfully corny too. I'd honestly rather the blank paddock walls at the end of Velocicoaster to what we got. Coaster is good fun though! Provides some surprisingly solid forces. I do agree with the sentiments that putting it inside a showbuilding might make it more fun, but I wonder if riding it at night will provide a similar experience anyways? I'll report back next time I go!

• I met the Invisible Man!! It was like, the first thing I did all day haha! It was honestly my 2nd most anticipated thing to do in the whole park, and I wasn't even trying for it, so it was a very pleasant surprise! The performers are killing the role, he's exactly as eccentric and mean as he should be. He is so prominent in the land too! Funnily enough, he's really hard to miss! And the mocktail at Das Stakehaus was another really pleasant surprise! Very very happy with the IM rep on offer!

Fr though, I really do hope this ride comes to Hollywood. It's one of the best rides they've ever done

I would imagine it will only be a matter of time. What would be stopping them? As long it it proves to be successful - which from early reports seems that it will be - seems like as long as they can make room for it, they'll have it too.

Although I will say one thing that will need to be altered due to California safety regulations is the "Phantom fire effects". If i remember correctly, rides where guests are strapped in with restraints can't have flames. It'd slow down evacuation. Which is why ROTM's old finale used fog/lighting unlike Orlando's flame ceiling.

Studio Tour doesn't have seat belts, lap bars or shoulder restraints... so fire is fine (except when it's the backlot burning down ....again)
