deleted the spoiler in question. just a reminder: no photos or reviews for the time being, per universal’s current policy.

It would probably be helpful to call out @Brian G.. This is in-ride footage.

Fr though, I really do hope this ride comes to Hollywood. It's one of the best rides they've ever done

I look forward to a full POV with preshow/queue. It seems like the type of ride that needs a "making of" special!

(back when we had Travel Channel with theme park content)

I dont think any ride from Epic is going anywhere else in the world. Epic needs exclusivity.

Very True. But if they keep adding more of Epics rides to other parks, would not have to go to Epic. If Hollywood got Monsters, thats 2 of Epics 4 E Tickets

but it would still get guests into the parks, just with slightly more accessibility. Not everyone can afford trips now, in the near future or ever. Besides, cloning will always be a thing even if there are slight differences.

Yes well, Hollywood gave life to the monsters long before Victoria came along & did it on the east coast. Not having the ride or any variation of it at USH is just a middle finger to history/legacy.

More emphasis on Phantom...

actually, instead of Frankenstein Manor, have it be a cursed/haunted soundstage ...although that might be too meta.

realistically how long would it take for California or any other park to build monsters?
how long would they give this park for exclusivity? 5 years?
even if they had the space and plans to add this to California, wouldn't it be like years from now? 10 years?

If it was up to me, an alternate Dark Universe with a different name to disassociate it from Epic would be the Simpsons replacement. All the classic monsters including the ones from Epic, but heavier focus on monsters that aren’t in the spotlight there.

Completely different ride but with the same budget and detail as Unchained, and plenty of focus on and reverence for the history of the monster’s relationship with Hollywood and Universal. Heavily themed stores and Three Broomsticks level restaurant/s so the park finally has a third decent sit-down food option.

IMO Pokémon absolutely needs to come and would probably be the thing to take USH from a popular locals park to almost rivaling Disneyland, but that can go to the lower lot. It would be borderline disrespectful if the monsters didn’t come to the property that created them sooner than later.

maybe a prequel or sequel ride.
maybe even have the same monsters but used differently. obviously I don't know the story in the ride, but maybe it could be the way they did the Halloween horror nights houses coast to coast where they were a sequel

I'd guess if Universal was going to put Monsters into Hollywood that it would be essentially the same ride system and plot. At most, maybe a few tweaks to the story line. But business economics/financials generally dictate to keep the costs down. See FJ, Jurassic Park, Simpsons/BTF, DM, Mummy, F&F, Mario Kart. That's been the Universal and Disney formula, so I wouldn't expect to see a significantly different version, if it ever happens.

I don't expect a completely different ride tbf, moreso some animatronics getting swapped in and out. They could be reskins of the same armature to keep costs down. E.g. Bride/Hyde/Invisible Man with the bandages replacing Hunchback.

I'll make you a deal: USH can have Monsters Unchained when USF gets (something like) SLOP and WaterWorld!
