Good news for this ride but might be a good idea for a thread here. Almost EVERY single ride at Epic Universe has some type of restriction for larger riders, even Yoshi, and advises there's a test seat out front. Very unusual for a brand new park but there's going to some people who won't be able to ride anything except for the water shooting ride and the carousel.

Battle at the Ministry has a seat belt ride seat similar to Fallon/Tower of Terror. Betting that'll be the most plus size friendly attraction at EU because of that tbh

Screens definitely allow for better use of limited space while enhancing the sets and ride if done well.

I'm not really on Twitter or Bluesky as consistently as I'm on these forums, could you share some of the reactions you have been seeing?

Also, were they playing the commissioned Danny Elfman score throughout the land, or have they yet to switch on ambient music for each of the individual lands

I haven't attended this theme park yet, but unless they're simply pointing out the fact that it is a supplemental coaster attraction besides the main E-ticket, that sounds ridiculous. Might be eating crow though.

I wonder in what way? Length? It’s like a 20 second ride for mostly children

Just posting this here since this is all new for all of us regarding Epic/Review discussions.

A good rule of thumb to use is "If it's a spoiler, post it in the Review thread". Second-hand Reviews should be posted in the general thread (i.e., I heard from a TM, tweets, etc.). Links to spoiler reviews should be posted in the Review thread.

Over in the Dark Universe reviews thread someone who has been to the park reports the sightline of the Helios is bad from the coaster side of the land. I'm sure tree growth will help a lot of this as having tall trees right next you will block the view of something -- even something tall -- farther away. But I suspect the worst problem is where walkways align with the direction of the hotel so there's nothing between you and the visual intrusion...ever.

For that reason, I suspect the walkway leading from Darkmoor back to the coaster -- highlighted in red in these images, with Helios in blue -- is where the sightline will remain the worst long after trees have grown in around the coaster and queue.

This stretch, which also sub-optimally runs along a backstage building, would be a great place to put a spooky Old World covered bridge, as in these examples. Not only would this "tunnel" block views of the Helios along this stretch but it would serve as a transition from the village of Darkmoor to "the country" where the encampment of the Guild of Mystics is.

I really appreciate your common sense, thematically-appropriate ideas to solve various issues.

Universal Creative on LinkedIn: Day In The Life of a Show Coordinator - Dark Universe

Universal Creative Linkedin post chock full of dark universe sneak peeks.

Inside monsters unchained, queue and ride floor
Under nets of curse of werewolf
Various darkmoor shots.

Edit: Good shot of restraints. Looks to be roomy.

I wonder what the Dark Universe equivalent of the world's largest ball of string is.
