Personally, I'd much rather have Uni keep up with their rides and slowly draw out a plan for the next phrase so it can be an improvement over the current WWOHP. Maybe once TE comes back, WHEN the brown coaster gets cleaned, and maybe a new ride or 2 in other parts of the park ( although that is highly unlikely) Just my opinion and I know this phase is most likely going to be rushed, but I trust it to be good no matter when it comes.

I'm currently under the impression that some of you know that this is certain. Can anyone elaborate and provide proof? :|

Nobody knows for sure, but Uni realeased a survey that ased about it. Personally, I think that it would be good as long as it doesn't replace anything, maybe have The Hogwarts Express bring people to Diagon Alley in this area that I believe Uni owns:
tss-1.jpg

And make a new station where the green dot is and make a train route going behind the park and over the road, as shown in this picture:

And on an unrelated note: V!ola! youre back! I was began to think your las "I Just Died" was for real!

More than one poster has confirmed the same information from different sources, and they have good connections.

When it comes to the idea of the separate area with a train, that land you have outlined is earmarked for another hotel or a water park, so I doubt they would want to expand outside the boundaries of the park.

Yeah, but if they just cut off a small area of it so that they still had room for another hotel they could even have another entrance to IOA for hotel guests.

I've done countless Uni surveys and haven't seen anything relating to expansion. I'd love to see pictures. Perhaps if someone had taken the time to share with me this tidbit I'd have had a slightly modified opinion.

^ I really highly doubt they'd go quite that far away from the park for an expansion.

When I saw the name "Lee" stating this stuff, I knew something was up. I would not be back on here otherwise. I dunno who "Lee" is or his connections except he posts often on wdwmagic.com. And he has stated many things as fact before it has happened. But it made my eyebrows raise very high. Usually, when he knows something, he KNOWS something.

Yes, Teebin. Lee is one of the sources. And I have never known him to be wrong. And as JungleSkip said, Spirit is also another reliable source who has mentioned it as a major expansion to include an E-Ticket. Not to mention the idiot tour guide who mentioned it. And the survey from Universal. All signs point to it happening. Sindbad closing will be about as much proof anyone will get until after next Summer.

I cannot believe they are talking of expanding so soon! I am mega excited though...

Just a few ideas...

Though it would be sad to see Lost Continent gone, it would be neat to turn it into Diagon Alley. I am all for the Gringott's Coaster! I said this in a thread earlier, but I think it would be neat if they turned Sinbad into a walkthrough with all of the places Harry finds the Horcuxes: the cave, the Gaunt's house, the Gringott's vault, etc. Just an idea, but I dunno if it would be possible. Honestly I think it would be awesome to have another walkthrough--the queue of FJ is amazing in and of itself, let alone the actual ride.

If they did decide to do the Burrow and did not want Mythos to be the Leaky Cauldron, maybe they could theme it around the Burrow and have it a sit down restaurant there as Mrs. Weasley always makes fantastic food :]

The area outlined in the above picture is currently being used as an overflow parking lot for team members.. Mainly because of universal being DUMB and selling the parking lot behind MIB to the apartment complex that is there now. That angers me because that could have been prime expansion land!

But it does prove that Universal owns the parking lot. I think we'll see a water park there as soon as the lease for Wet N Wild is up. The train idea is pretty cool though! You'd just have to figure out a way to enclose everything.

I wish i would have snapped a picture of the maps at universal that mark the expansion areas.. There aren't too many left. I think there is one in seuss where the cornfield was, one near ripsaw, and where hogwarts is now. Plus I think it's safe to say that Trike will eventually be used for something else.

Geographically speaking, adding Diagon Alley or The Ministry of Magic wouldn't make any sense.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Universal first scheme up an elaborate stage show for Potter? Now I don't know how they'd manage to convince Rowling to approve of this now, but I'm guessing that said rumored expansion would mostly be built in order to include the theater in the wizarding world.

Poor Lost Continent. I don't want to see it shrink any more, but I'm not exactly a huge fan of Sinbad, either.

Blow up LC already and expand potter which is 10000000x better. I can't believe there is even an argument over how LC should stay in some form instead of a complete potter take over, I'm really shocked.

Because the theming and detail in LC is really awesome, but if they want to take it out for more Potter I guess everyone would just have to deal with it. I just hope that the new E-Ticket won't be another coaster, they already had 3 in the park, why another one? I'd rather they put in another dark ride.

Geographically it doesn't make sense, but again this is a theme park. And the the theme parks' job is to recreate the areas to the best of their abilities, not make sure it is down to the T, because if it was Hogwarts would be bigger, Dragon Challenge would have a Red and Orange track, and Ollivanders would be one person at a time.

So we have to give and take, and this is happenning.

Yea, I think people are way too hung up on whether or not it's "geographically possible". Seriously people? It's a THEME PARK!:P

Is it geographically possible to walk from the Caribbean to the Wild West like at the Magic Kingdom? No.

Is it geographically possible to walk from Mexico to Norway like in Epcot? No.

Who cares? It's all about having fun/making a terrific attraction/land.

The only thing I care about is not losing Mythos and PF, I don't mind some of the island being replaced, but having the full island replace would seem like such a waste of some of the best theming I've ever seen in a theme park.
