Why wasn't Men in Black: Alien Attack cloned to Universal Hollywood? It seemed like an awesome addition! :)
Also, do they sell MIB merchandise there?

And size. It's a massive footprint in a park that has little acreage to spare (especially at the time MIB was relevant/being built).

The line is definetely longer than it used to be during the day. It went back to the switchbacks last time I was there, which was just odd to see.

Most of the time I go they are just running one track. Even if the line is up to the control room.

The park keeps getting more popular and as rides go down for replacement the guests have to go somewhere.

MIB is just an awesome ride :)
Also, at one point did the gift shop sell miniatures of the aliens featured in the ride? It seems like a vague memory

Personally I didn't care for it, but I'm not into the arcade shooter rides.

If there were ever any plans of cloning it, 9/11 and the tourism crash happening a year after it opened probably quashed that.

It also depends on Sony...the only reason Uni even got the rights to MIB was due to Spielberg being the producer.

There was a really good episode of Season Pass Podcast that had an interview with the designers: The Season Pass: The Essential Theme Park Podcast : tspp #166- Creating Men In Black: Alien Attack @ Universal Studios Florida 6/2/11

From the sounds of it, an exact clone wasn’t in the cards. The dual-track system was a nightmare to design and control. So it probably would have been a different ride or ride system, had it made it’s way west. That said, I’m suprised that USJapan didn’t have space for this set aside somewhere.

Not enough room to justify it without also ruining the production centers and the Studio Tour. There's also supposed to be a plan for Universal Studios Hollywood to get the Spider-Man ride where the Mummy building was supposed to be , but Universal's parent company Vivendi (before NBCUniversal then later Comcast) at the time had little to no interests in theme parks let alone importing a cloned ride in another park, so Universal elected to its its own IP for the Mummy building.

Not as it used to, though Sony has plans to have a Jump Street crossover with MiB. MiB is still largely popular and talked about though, having agents acting cool and shady similar to that of the 1990s kids is fantastic and new.

That 23 jump street idea is just awful, I hope they don't go with it

The crossover film has been dropped for now in favor of an MIB reboot.

Why do they have to reboot the franchise? There is no main Men in Black movie without agents Jay and Kay, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones

Because those two actors don’t want to play those roles anymore. The only reason MIB3 happened was because the plot was Will Smith’s idea.
