That is really so much more than I was expecting. I was expecting screens and clocks every where to track time and the cheapest band possible.

The Wet n Wild test was more of a functional test of the software and implementation, not a test of the bands.

So, these things are disposable?

I'd be shocked if that was the case. A LCD screen means there's a battery and a micro controller. If it was just a simple tag (like the ones you see inside DVDs for anti theft), there's no cost associated with it. But, each band will cost a non-trivial amount of money

It has to be cheap. You know these things are going to walk out the gate. I can't imagine them standing there at the gate making sure people return them.

Of course, if the rumored $100 gate price is close to being accurate, they can afford to let people take them home.

My concern with that would be not the tourists but the AP holders. Are they given a new band every visit or given one for the year that can be recharged or swapped when entering the park?

They'll use the same tech as the 3D glasses, a simple chip that sounds an alarm if you attempt to leave the park with one.

That makes me wonder if they are going to have multiple levels of these. A cheap one that they give out at the gates for free, and an upcharge one AP holders and for those who want more functionality.

Maybe not more functionality but simply a fancier design/build.

I'm sure something was mentioned in the previous video but I've been drinking for a solid 6 hours now and I can't give an opinion.

More and more VB questions keep getting raised: if there's a possible daily capacity max closing, how will Explorer tickets work? Would they assign you a VB day or will it be not guaranteed as tickets technically always are and that will be that?

I apologize, I was supposed to get the capacity info today. If I haven't given you anything by noon tomorrow, then please yell at me.
