Wait, hold up: how does this work?

If everyone is waiting for the Krakatau Aqua Coaster, as it will obviously be the to-go attraction, then the virtual "line" will notch up more and more, right? If there are no standby lines available, then nobody can do anything else but the lazy river and the wave pool. (and arcade, food, gifts, poop, etc.)

I also wondered about this.

Personally, I think the high demand for the Aqua Coaster could merit the addition for the originally planned Hydromagnetic Mammoth coaster. Why only have one water coaster when you can have two? Those rides are people eaters!

I'm wondering if you'll have to turn in TapuTapu at the end of the day or if it's yours to keep.

I would guess this is in VB's expansion plans. Knowing how relatively cheap they are compared to most new (theme park) attractions, I could see Universal quickly adding this if capacity keeps maxing out everyday like I think may occur next summer.

I believe I read somewhere that you get it for the day only.

An important factor to consider is lines add capacity to a park. Legal capacity for busch gardens williamsburg during haloween with the mazes and rides was somewhere north of 30,000. For christmas it was half that, maybe a bit more now that they decorate an additional section. Volcano bay is not going to fit as many people with virtual lines. the price will have to be high to compensate.

For me I hate the virtual line system because I take advantage of slow times to pack more stuff in. I know many people consider planning around crowds to not feel vacationlike though. I hate the thought of adding express to a virtual line system and how well it can allow universal to stealthily pump up the normal wait times and create more demand like they do for haloween.

I believe this is the company that is doing the effects for the volcano.

Water show : Aquatic Show International, water special effects

They also did Cinematic Spectacular.

I feel sure that you are correct, but it doesn't give me a great deal of confidence. I want Bellagio and they have handed Universal a Marriot in Kansas City thus far.

Would they also have created the water screens for cinematic?

Mind you, it may have been Universals fault... perhaps they should have spent an extra 100 Million. I dunno.

BTW, is Martin Smith aka Marni?

Due to climate change, might I suggest that you be careful what you wish for.

I'm at a bit of a crossroads. I can't see myself riding anything that high up but I want to go up and see the view but I don't want to do the walk of shame back down.

The stairway is going to be terrifying. About 150ft up with only a handrail?

Not gonna be quite 150ft. Isn't the three slides at 125? Kinda no different from this 121ft drop slide . . .

Why do you think the people in the houses nearby have been complaining so much?

If the picture posted of the Wet N Wild test system is what this ends up being, they will be trash at the end of the day. The example pic looked like it had the snap lock like you see on wristbands for concerts and other events. Those really don't come back apart.

I also wonder if they'll be selling special souvenir TapuTapus like Disney does with MagicBands.
