Just to bring this up for possibility, it seems that Premier and Dynamic Attractions are collaborating on a Next-Gen iteration of the Robocoaster, which will be installed first at Wanda in China.

Gimme all of that! I love Forbidden Journey, and this looks like it could be even better.

I think this could have a mountain of potential for an attraction.

Yeah, I have to agree with @Imperius, as there really isn't much you can pull for it.

Not even a compilation maze for HHN would make sense.

Sometimes, we need to remind ourselves that just because a film or television IP is relevant, that doesn't mean it can be applied somewhere and that it'd work.

Depending on the route that the movie takes, it could be a heavily grounded superhero movie. I’d see it as a refreshing take on the genre for the theme park industry.

What I’d love to see is something akin to the tone of original aliens ride at MK, set in an asylum with plenty of practical effects.

To go a completely different route.

Universal could throw some shade at Disney by having the only working Yeti in Orlando.

"Waterpark services"?

I could totally see that in the 4th park if it does well. They can't use all old IP's, they gotta throw in some new ones too.

With trademarks like this, they include everything even if they have no intent to use it.

The idea of a water park using IPs is an intriguing idea. Basically a modern theme park with different lands but every ride is a water ride.

Hmmmmm, looks like I got a new blue-sky to work on ;)

But I really wonder if Universal would consider doing that. It would give them an edge over Disney in terms of waterparks, it would be different from Volcano Bay, and it would revolutionize the waterpark industry.

The big issue with it is not so much designing the theming because a lot of the IPs lend themselves to a water park so easily like nintendofor example. It’s making a water ride that lives up to what they’re trying to sell.

Universal has some interesting patents for this.

The Matt slides could project something in front of you or even be interactive.

A tank that fills with water before a drop could be themed to MIB:

You could have something like Popeyes which is basically a water park ride anyway with how wet you get.

You could add show scenes to a water coaster.

Or you could just go all out and have an inverted coaster with a shooter game attached:

That drop-capsule slide permit made me say “Absolutely frickin not” when I first saw it. I still feel the same. That thing is horrifying.

Going back to the waterpark thing,

It would be actually one of a kind if Universal did full on Horror or Space themed waterpark. Looking out there, there are currently none while you have tons of tropical, jungle, and mountain themed parks.

Yes, but that’s because horror doesn’t fit a water park.

Shining...the water ride...creature of the black lagoon lagoon....the use of lights and other theatrical effects makes it so its possible
The list and potential goes on...it just takes a lack of imagination to not see how it can fit.

Also it was Universal in the patent who mentioned using the drop slide capsule to fill up with "blood" to show us turning into vampires. Which means they have thought of the use of horror for water park

Or it’s forcing it where it maybe sorta makes sense. Shining blood slide? Come on. That’s not bringing people to parks because it’s disgusting.

Oh come on, who wouldn't want a Room 237 slide?

Not really, since that doesn’t fit either.

You know what would be a great water park? One that’s filled completely with rides like Popeye and Dudley. I really don’t understand how this hasn’t been done yet.

Those aren't really slides, plus you can find them in any theme park. Why would people want to go to that?

I wrote a concept for one a while ago (look at my Myspace page if you want to read it), it's not far fetched...Although probably never going to happen

Because it’s a water park so why not fill it with real themed rides that get you drenched in addition to the slides?
