Thanks for the update! I had completely forgotten about the park until you posted that.

Disney and More has posted video of the fireworks show that is being used at US Singapore here: http://disneyandmore.blogspot.com/2010/03/universal-studios-singapore-fireworks.html

So is the madagascar ride going to be a more like splash mountain/jurassic park river adventure ride or more like the jungle cruise?

Sentosa Theme Park Blog has posted On-Ride videos of Jurassic Park Rapid Adventure and Canopy Flyers as well as photos from the Waterworld show here: http://sentosathemepark.blogspot.com/

I'm loving the Jurassic Park ride. While the tour guide was boring and similar to ours here in Florida, the rest of the ride looked great. The dinosaurs seemed to have more fluent movement and I'm glad they had a somewhat different story than ours. The drop at the end looked huge and the waterfalls were a great touch. I'm not sure which version I like better though, they both are/seem great.

Thanks Bigbearsg!

Both look great. I'm happy to see some improvement, and they're not just getting straight clones of everything.

That ride looks very good! I agree that it is nice to see something new and not a straight copy of River Adventure. I'm anticipating a POV of the Mummy over there. Wonder what lies in there.

- and it's freaking sweet! Do tell me, what goes on during the minute or so of complete darkness?

Wow JP looks incredible, I think I like it better than the River adventure version. i was amazed by the loading station, never seen anything like that before, and the darkness looks incredible. Maybe they should update The orlando and Hollywood versions with an elevator lift like this one and with the extra room add another scene.

I can't wait to see a video of the Mummy and to find more about Madagascar. It sounds to me like Universal's version of Splash mountain.

Here's some info on the mummy from screamscape:

And while we don’t have any photos or videos to share yet, I do have some nice details about the new version of Revenge of the Mummy. I’ve been told that the layout itself is essentially a copy of the already incredible Florida version of the ride. However this time around, the story is serious… no lame bit about a curse on the film crew… new PA’s getting attacked by the Mummy… and no lame ending with Brendan Fraser asking for his coffee. This time around it’s you in a real tomb… going one on one with Imhotep. The start of the ride is said to be a fairly close copy of the Florida verson… with minor scene tweaks here and there. However for your encounter with the scarabs they’ve lifted the improved effects used on the Hollywood version of the ride. While the dark coaster segments were described to be pretty much the same, the turntable room, false ending and finale rooms are supposed to be very different this time around. I hope to have more information on this soon.

A POV of Revenge of the Mummy has been posted on Youtube

It's not as different as everyone made it out to be. It's almost identical to Orlando's except for the ending. Either way it looks good.

Also, some new photos have been posted over at thethemeparkguy.com showing some new views. The photos can be found here.

I didn't think it'd be so much like Florida's version. I figured the first Mummy to not retrofit an existing building would be so much better but I guess not. :)

According to the person who posted the video, "At the end, the mummy is sealed and there is a "sealed mummy" on the wall in front. Kinda opened ended."

Me neither there's no fake unload or anything but to be fair I've never been a fan of the Mummy ride as its basically room, room, backwards, fast, room of fire, fast, the end. I personally prefer Everest which is similarish.

Battlestar Galactica is shut down due to technical glitches, from Sentosa Theme Park Blog:
During our daily pre-opening testing yesterday morning prior to opening to the public, we found a technical problem on one of the ride vehicles and we are investigating at the Battlestar Galactica attraction. In keeping with our commitment to employee and guest safety, the ride was immediately closed by Universal Studios Singapore and will not be operating until we determine the cause and solution. Experts from the ride's design, engineering and manufacturing company are assisting our own experienced ride and show team in the inspection and any necessary action to resolve the situation. No one was injured and all proper authorities were notified, which is a standard Universal Studios Singapore operating policy.

Employee and guest safety is our number one priority at Universal Studios Singapore. Every ride or attraction meets or exceeds industry guidelines and undergoes construction inspections and approvals of Singapore regulatory agencies for theme park rides. Additionally, all rides goes through a daily series of detailed inspections and testing before the park opens to ensure that all of the ride’s safety systems are functioning properly. No ride will be operated at any time unless it has passed all daily inspections and tests.

At this time, the ride may be closed for several days or longer to perform a complete analysis. We understand some guests may be disappointed; however, the safety of our employees and guests remains our top priority.

More information on the glitch can be found here: http://sentosathemepark.blogspot.com/

It's good to know that they were able to catch the issue at least but it's got to feel like HRRR to people who wanted to ride it over there.
