Shrek has so much potential for theme park lands that if the series gets successfully relaunched, it could warrant a land in one of the expansion pads at EU that finally does the IP justice.

Small thing I’ll bring up as a foodie.

IOA has Mythos, and EU will have Atlantic and Blue Dragon.

USF needs a legit, good sitdown dining experience. Would be a big hit pre night show in my opinion. The other parks all have premiere dining to an extent and this park needs it too. Especially as the more relaxing park.

Hopefully a Lombard’s refresh can help that.

Pre covid, and pre me being a foodie as a non picky eater, I didn’t like it there. Tons of potential there or a full sitdown British experience to add onto Diagon would be refreshing.

*Used to - I think they've relaxed the idea of shoving new/hotter properties at the parks for synergy purposes instead of older properties. There's a benefit to offering a mix of both new and old.

Might be off-topic, but I finally got to experience Race Through NYC recently, and I don’t think it gets enough love. The queue is one of the absolute best at both IOA and Universal. The ride itself is one of the smoothest simulators I’ve ever been on (I’d go so far as to call it “comfy”), and the 3-D is fantastic. I know many find Jimmy to be incredibly annoying, but I think his persona works very well for the host of the ride. I’d actually consider this to be one of my favorite attractions at the park.

On a technical level, Race Through New York is solid, and the best of the park's traditional simulators. There's just too much of that sort of thing in the park.

Race Through New York is a genuinely good ride, it just opened at a bad time.

Thankfully it sounds like Universal is moving away from that for future additions to USF. To me the rumored Pokemon replacement for Simpsons when in comes online in 2027-2028 will be that first step in the right direction for USF finally.

I've heard nothing that would make me confident of that, but I appreciate your optimism! :)

The Pokemon IP could lend itself well to a SLOP style dark ride or better. We'll have to see how USJ's Pokemon ride turns out to see what USF's could be like.

It’s my lowest ranking theme park in Florida. I am glad to see they are trying to address the entertainment issue, but the park has a long ways to go.

It's my wife's fav attraction in the park. Plus great queue and pre shows. It's a good use of the very small footprint it occupies.

now you’re just being cynical since there’s been recent quotes, and shared here, that shouldn’t warrant this type of response.

Just going to shamelessly plug my movie theater restaurant idea from the Blue sky thread lol

I mean... yes, I am somewhat cynical about USF, based on a decade-plus of decisions made in the park that I mostly don't like very much.

I genuinely don't recall hearing anything about USF's hypothetical Pokemon other than it wouldn't be a straight clone of the Scoop ride system version that Japan is presumably getting. I haven't heard anything indicating that Japan's ride concept (supposedly AR-based) wouldn't be carried over to Florida, but if I missed something, then I reserve the right to amend my stance.

We've had instances from insiders and quotes from Creative about Universal's moving away from reliance on screens.

Perhaps this is what you mean, but I think that while skepticism is fair, cynicism is toxic.
