I still think they need to add another one closer to the lobby as folks still run across the street.

Measured out the walking distance on Google Maps following the route Bio laid out - it comes to 4500 feet (5/6th of a mile) from the lobby of Terra Luna to the Chronos. That's not insurmountable - I did a similar distance in and out of Disneyland from a hotel when I visited. In WDW terms it's like walking from MK to the heart of Grand Flo, and it's much shorter than the walk between Epcot and DHS along Crescent Lake. But it's definitely an appreciable number of steps to add onto a park day. I'll probably just take the shuttle when I stay in May.

I don’t think I’d have any issue walking TO the park from Terra Nova, but the walk BACK at the end of the day might kill me.

Just thinking that my house is about a 3.5 mile walk/bike ride from the park entrance. It would be a good way to work off park food…

Just checked in to Stella Nova for our big Epic rope drop day tomorrow. Seems like a better Aventura so far.

Walking path to Epic does not look bad at all. It will be a lot better once landscaping grows in though.

Also, the lobby area has some of those color-changing tiles just outside, and I can confirm that they are extremely hot to the touch. Probably don’t want to do that going forward. :lmao:

Staying here for a few nights in September - are the light sensors still an issue?

I had no issues with the lights at Terra Luna. Likewise I'd seen some complaints about the AC quality but my room got down to 68 and stayed there during my afternoon nap. Seems like they've worked out the technical kinks.

All new EPIC hotels, including Helios, had lighting issues due to sensors in the rooms not working properly. Many people noted lights turning off and on in the middle of the night all over their rooms(nightstand vs. across the room vs bathroom vanity) and the light in the bathroom turning off while people are still in there showering or using the facilities. lol

I'm staying at Stella in August, so yeah... I've been less than enthused about it but glad to hear it's been getting better for many!

Stayed there last Sunday and the light sensors weren’t horrible, but terribly inconsistent. Never really turned on when you wanted them to but there were a few moments in the middle of the night where I would slightly move upwards in my bed and the lights would brightly flash on and immediately turn back off.

In general I still think Aventura is a better choice.

I've stayed 5 times across both resorts, with a majority at Stella, and outside of Opening Weekend of Terra, I've not had any issues with the lights.

Just out of curiousity, did you turn off the "main" light? If it's left on, that's what causes the motion nonsense.

When I stayed at Stella a month ago, my lights turned off once or twice while I was sitting by the window on my laptop. Aside from that, they worked fine.

I think the hotel is generally a good option for Epic-centric trips, but bussing to the north campus can sometimes take a bit longer than desired depending on traffic.

It’s the switch along the wall near the bed.

I don't see why they have to make something like an on/off switch so complicated. And, I'm sure that whole process is more expensive.....My fav phrase in this day and age where they make some of the most simple things complicated and too high tech (and costs them more) for no good reason. KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID.

I stayed at Stella Nova opening night and the next day the bathroom lights weren't working at all. It was really awkward because I was having a medical emergency and needed the light to see but couldn't.

No light issues at all last night.

And an 8 minute walk from lobby to back of rope drop line.
