OK people, check it out. As of today, I'm seeing a collapse in 'weekday' hotel AP rates across the board for late June, almost all of July and August. Many Portofino nights in the low $300, even lower for Royal Pacific and Helios. Sapphire with many nights in the low $200's and some in the $100's.
Dockside and Surfside under a $100 for many nights.

This is crazy for summer, even taking into consideration that summers have been dropping a bit since 2017. My only guess is that there's a significant drop in bookings, and maybe lots of cancellations due to the gas and air travel huge increases, not just the heat.

I'm seeing 'some' similar savings in Stay More Save More long stays also.

If you can deal with the heat, book right now. Crowds/lines might also be very manageable.

I wonder how long before you see this extended into the Fall. Economic pressures with the extended oil barrel price increases are going to continue to hit people in the pocketbook and I imagine Orlando is going to take the brunt of it in terms of both domestic and international visitors.

I read the post to mean that future bookings are lower than expected, so there's an attempt to reduce costs so margins are still strong/stable.

Yeah. Disney, like Universal, is doing a lot of special summer ticket discount packages also. Kind of red flags.

Agreed. That, with immigration policies over the past fifteen months, is driving a change in behaviors. It will be interesting to see how long this plays out and how long it rebounds when things level out. It's a concerning time and I wouldn't be surprised if we see some pullback in capital spending at the major theme park players. The smaller park players (Cedar Park, Six Flags, Merlin, etc.) may actually benefit from this, if they can adjust their pricing and marketing strategies to capitalize on this while wallets are constrained.

I love How Disney had all those "rumors" (PR cough cough) about how the New CEO wanted Villains land even more impressive during like of the worst times for the economy

I hope they don't have to pull back but this is also why I push for new stuff now and not 10-20 years from now....you just have no idea where we will be.
I agree, and think we will really know soon if Disneyland and other CA parks do some insane deals as well
