Not sure if this belongs here or a general MK thread but what are the odds we get a rethemed restaurant in Frontierland to be Tiana's Place/Palace? I know Disneyland has one. It feels like such a missed opportunity to not have one close by to Tiana's Bayou Adventure considering the movie/ride features elements of her food/restaurant.

No fan of the changes they intend on making for Cars, but I'd prefer they just kill Frontierland and replace it with New Orleans or Bayou Country... it'll at least make more sense than what it is today. Replace Pecos with Tiana's and call it a day.

I completely agree! I wish they'd just convert the area around Tiana's Bayou to be New Orleans Square. Disneyland already has New Orleans Square - why can't we? It would be great. Plus, New Orleans Square as a "land" would make more sense to house Tiana's Bayou than Frontierland lol.

Edit: I don't think we would need a whole overhaul of Frontierland. It makes complete sense for the rest of the area, i.e Big Thunder Mountain...but why couldn't we just have a mini-area technically within -- or rather adjacent to -- Frontierland that is New Orleans Square?

Splash never fit Frontierland thematically, but changing it to New Orleans Square doesn’t work either since BTMRR would then be completely out of place. Just leave the front half of the River, dock the boat across from Tianna’s and make it a restaurant.

Right definitely not suggesting an overhaul of Frontierland because a) I like Frontierland and b) like I mentioned before it would make Big Thunder feel out of place (as well as Country Bears) if it was completely rethemed. No reason to retheme the whole area. But I think they could still section off an area to be New Orleans Square…thinking if it like this…have Frontierland dominate most of the area, have Tiana’s Bayou in the middle, and have a sectioned off area/behind it rethemed to New Orleans Square so that it kind of transitions from Frontierland to New Orleans Square with Tiana being the linking center point between the two lands. If that makes sense.

Last year we missed Tiana by a couple weeks, so I was sure to do it this trip. As I've said often before, Splash was 'my favorite WDW attraction'. It always put a happy smile on my face during a ride, and after. I was sad to see it go, but willing to give Tiana a chance. Yes, there were many negative comments about Tiana, though often they seemed to be nitpicking. Splash's excellent music, especially the climactic Zipi dee do da was near to my heart. And I always found the story line both hilarious and highly entertaining. It was always the perfect FUN attraction for me. I didn't really think Tiana could come close to Splash, but I was hopeful. Well, we got lucky last Sunday . Beautiful, though quite hot morning, and I figured the line would be long due to the heat. To our surprise, at 9:30 AM it was posted at 35 minutes. So Alene and I skeedaddled over there, got in the really fast moving queue, and boarded in a short '15 minutes'. Guess what? The attraction was much better than we expected. Almost the equal of the great Splash. Alene actually liked it better than Splash. The story line was fine. Fit the attraction well. It didn't really need a villain, and even with Splash I never really looked at the bad guys as villains. They were too inept and funny to be true bad guy adversaries. Lots of good working animatronics and even the shrinking down and firefly scenes were cool and entertaining. And the music was excellent. So good I didn't miss my Splash music. It was very reminiscent of Nawlins and enjoyable/entertaining. And, to top it off, the finale scene was even better than the Splash ending scene. It was sooo beautiful and colorful. ....In my opinion, Tiana is an excellent attraction.....And be sure to stop by the Tiana merchandise shop. It has some of the most interesting and unique merchandise of any Disney IP. ....I loved Splash. Now I love me the Tiana.

Yeah, when the effects are working as intended I think it’s a great attraction. A lot of fun, which is good enough for me.

and....when I rode it, and after....I had a big smile on my face. It's a lot of fun, most certainly.

it's enjoyable enough. As a huge Tiana fan, I still feel like something's missing. I wonder if something that stuck closer to the Princess & the Frog story was ever in the cards. I love the Special Spice song but the whole experience never goes above "cute" for me.
