It's that time of year again. We're about two weeks away from The Game Awards, and this year certainly has a lot of... choices when it comes to some nominations. Feel free to discuss and have civil debates on the nominations and what we think should win (and/or what we think should've been nominated)! And of course, look forward to even more games getting announced, as well as updates on games we eagerly await!

I may be biased, as platformers are my favorite genre of games, but I'm really hoping Astro Bot gets the win here. It's a masterpiece and overall delightful game. I feel it's one of the best non-Mario 3D platforming games we've had in a very long time.

They really snubbed Silent Hill 2 for Elden Ring, huh.

Jokes aside, thinking Metaphor got this in the bag. A massive RPG in scale and scope, combined with the simultaneous worldwide release; it being from ATLUS; and that it like Balatro and Wukong in it being a completely new IP should sink in the win.

Final Fantasy Rebirth was amazing. Some of the best visuals and music of any games this year. I started Metaphor and I really like it. I do think it lags a bit visually. I am enjoying it a lot though!

Personally hope Metaphor wins. Haven’t played it yet, saving it for Christmas, but the praise has been insane and I can’t wait to experience it. Same with AstroBot. Elden Ring straight up doesn’t qualify for this, it’s sort of an unfair waste of a slot that I wish had gone to SH2 or Like a Dragon or really anything else.

Personally hoping for Astrobot to take it, but I'd be happy with Metaphor as well.

-Shadow of the Erdtree straight-up should not qualify. Doesn't matter how big its scope is, it's still a DLC, not a new game (plus Elden Ring already won in 2022!). Silent Hill 2 Remake should've taken its place.

-No offense to Balatro, I'm sure it's a cool game, but there are so many other different contenders that could've gone here, including other indies like Another Crab's Treasure!

-And while Black Myth: Wukong is a great game, I'm rooting for its downfall as the developer is quite a sexist a-hole.
