Good point, probably there is a fair amount of people who enjoy it precisely because it is not a ride. Personally I prefer thrill rides though

I'm mainly saying LC will be gone in the next 10 years and the facade is wasted on a subpar walkthrough with 90s CGI. IOA doesn't have too many options to expand (just 3 not counting Kong)

I hear you, and I have had several concepts for a Poseidon's Furry ride. But Universal needs diversity in their parks. Just like they need rides for the little tikes, they need shows and walk-thrus and make sure there is something for everyone. I personally also like the idea of walk-thrus but they are almost always implemented very poorly. That's what makes Poseidon special (especially the original version) because it is one of the best done walkthrus I have ever seen. I know there are many people also like the walkthrus, and like you said some people that don't do rides at all. They all deserve something special in the parks too.

They're both pretty dang great, if you ask me. Original was better, but they're pretty spectacular, if not in need of some updates.

This is true, but the average guest does not know that. People who have not seen the original that have nothing to compare the current version to seem to like it :rofl:

IDK but I think the fate of LC is yet to be determined. It seems that if PF were to go it would be for something else though.

Both are corny but grand in their own right. Those tour guides do go over the top ESPECIALLY in the old version with keeper. They are both good in their own right but the original was never a "oh my god must do" attraction like people make it out to be

I'm new and I'll freely admit that I haven't read every page in the thread; but it would be awesome if universal had the Percy Jackson/Lost Heroes rights because theming around that would be perfect for this section.

The first film barely made it through but earned a little bit of money but then the second film earned about..

about 200 Million but you also have to count the Marketing on the film which made the studio lose money so its unlikely, sorry about that and

Thank you for the welcome! I was thinking more from a book series perspective and stories that could make good rides that would fit with current theme of the area. I realize that it's nowhere near the sales levels of Harry Potter or other intellectual properties, but the books series has done really well. Just my opinion of what I would think would be a good fit - probably won't happen, but a girl can still dream.

Doesn't mean Universal can't use it. An example would be a film they have in development based off the Lockwood and Co series. Books distributed by Disney but Universal already has films rights and in pre production.

The best guess would be something Potter related, of course. Could WB/JKR be pushing for something related to Fantastic Beasts be ready at the park for the opening of the movie next year?

That's where my mind went immediately...I would love it if we got something new for LC sooner than later
