I wasn't aware the movie was R rated and seeming to aim for a more mature audience. I can see your argument there for it not coming. But I don't see how cyclops, sirens, and circe doesn't fit a theme park land. It is fantasy, just like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Also Universal doesn't own much IP properties that make a billion dollars. Oppenheimer made 975.8 million worldwide and that was a historical biopic driven by dialogue, not an adventure story. Not to mention the all star cast in the film.
I believe the general mythology land is getting replaced because it is not popular media anymore. A Christopher Nolan movie could change that.
But thank you for reminding me why I don't write much on here and just read. The joke comment was unnecessary and rude. Just reminds me of the toxic nature of forums and the ego on some people to diminish other's opinions. I will stick to reading from now on.
